Within seconds Miz Tisdale and Jesse have caught Skipper. The three of them are side by side by side battling for third place. Jesse looks in the mirror and sees no other racers except Boss's Gray Ghost 2 which is quite a ways back. Then Jesse looks ahead. Hobie has caught up to Garrett. He is now inches from Garrett's back bumper. Unless they crash each other out it looks like nobody else has a chance to win this race. But ya just never know. This is Hazzard after all.

"Dang it," Garrett hisses to himself in frustration as he sees Hobie catching up while wondering how Hobie managed to catch up as quickly as he did. Shaking his head he thinks momentarily of blocking Hobie, but didn't want to wreck his car in attempt at doing so. Instead he focuses on pushing the gas pedal farther down and to help his car get faster than what he was doing.

I'm out of reactions too. But this race is sure heating up. Anything can happen. Who knows, Hoss might even show up with his orange F-1 car with the Union Jack and 01 painted on it.

I've noticed with other tv series that they often do silly things as the series winds down. They simply run out of ideas in some cases and I suppose they just stop caring after awhile. I think someone posted that the alien idea came from James Best. Does that sound familiar? Maybe other people knew it was a bad idea but just wanted to let Jimmie have a little fun. If they knew it was the last season then they didn't have to worry about ratings. We saw a lot of silliness in season 7. Didn't Uncle Jesse jump a moving train in his F-150? Silly....but why not since the series was over anyways. Edit: I wonder if Denver always wanted to jump his truck like that but they said no until season 7 because nobody cared at that point.

There are just some kinds of shows that the alien/sci-fi/UFO crap (my opinion) doesn’t work…and DOH was definitely one! Leave that garbage for Star Wars, Star Trek, and X-Files. Ironically another show, around the same time, that tried the aliens ridiculousness was Miami Vice. An episode called “Missing Hours” ended up being famously known as THE worst episode of MV (in my opinion, possibly the worst episode in TV history)!

Hobie now is overtaking a lot of drivers because he's indulging, by taking in some....er.....vitamin A....lol.....he needs to pay more attention to what he's doing though, because right now, he's worried about Meadow.....he hasn't seen her and doesn't even know if she's on the track! Actually I'd give Meadow Mufn a really good price on a little red buggy if she's come by the lot! Maybe she'll come see me in the winner's Circle ( I'm in the home stretch!)

In the battle for fourth, Emma pulls up right beside Jesse on her dirt bike. His drivers side window is open and they look over at each other, dropping their speed just slightly. Forgetting for a moment that she is in a race, she blows him a kiss. He politely smiles but is not too excited. Then Emma rides a wheelie for about 100 feet, hoping to impress him. He smiles again and then points forward to remind her they are in a race. She nods, looks forward and they both speed up and close in on the SS Minnow. It starts to look like the battle for third is going to be fierce. Jesse looks at the leaders. From his view it looks like Hobie is catching up on Garrett.

I just saw a meme that says, "He who drinks a fifth on the fourth may not be able to go forth on the fifth." I hope everyone has a clear head this morning!

I hope everybody had a good Fourth. Next year it's 250. I was 16 when we hit 200. I'm a little more tired now but a whole lot smarter.
