Happy St. Patrick's Day everybody. I picked up the Ninja yesterday. All I've ever driven the past 45 years is older beat up motorcycles. It was amazing to ride a sport bike....especially something new. Maybe Hoss can figure out how to post a picture of it. It is a 2022 Ninja 400 that is metallic gray/metallic black. If you look up different colors, it is the only one with green stripes on the tire rims. I love it but I think it is only a phase. I plan on trading it in for a dirt bike next spring. I just had to do this once in my life. It is fast!

I went to see our St Patrick's parade at lunchtime. It was a smaller affair than usual as the relatively recent lifting of restrictions didn't leave much time for organizing things. Nonetheless, we had a lovely day with blue skies (unlike some other parts of the country). After that, I got to go on the temporary Ferris wheel set up near the castle. We went back after getting something to eat, thinking either the wheel or the vintage carousel might be fun at night, but in the end we just took some pictures. Maybe tomorrow...

Did you know the Italian version of The Dukes theme is called Bo e Luke? Some of the words are "Bo e Luke aha"

I bet everybody he knows calls him that. If they don't they should.

Did y'all ever hear the French version of the series theme? French series theme also has a extended too. I wonder if that longer French is the "You know momma loves me" Waylon extended version? German uses the American Waylon Jennings series version. It don't have a German one.

Tyler Reddick apparently signed a contract extension with RCR through 2023 https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2022/03/15/richard-childress-says-tyler-reddick-is-under-contract-for-2023/ Nascar is looking to trademark the defunct ASA series Might use that as it's Electric Exhibition Racing series, that way if it bombs it's not tied to the Nascar brand.

I've seen a couple stories about a new covid variant coming out. I haven't heard anything about it being anything to be too concerned about yet. I'm supposed to pick up my Ninja on Thursday.

One thing I find funny about all this is the curfews. Hmm, let me think here. These folks are shooting cops, setting police stations, police cars and business on fire. They're terrorizing, stealing and vandalizing. Do you really think they're going to say "Ah, shucks. I can't do that stuff anymore because I'm not allowed outside past 9:00."

Well hopefully we have our peaceful life back again, at least until our lease is up and we have found a new place to live. Police had to intervene again but nobody went to jail which is fine with us as long as the troublemaker is not allowed around here anymore.

Forgot to tell this funny thing that happened yesterday... So I'm trimming weeds at me dad's yesterday. There's these odd plants around his front porch and when I clipped them I got showered in seeds. It seems when the plants are ready to spread their seed they shoot them out when they get disturbed as I tapped the next one with my foot and seeds shot out of the plant. I can't say "I've never been attacked by a plant" anymore . Just glad I had my safety glasses on.

I'm starting to develop a bit of a retirement routine. Get up late. Watch a Dukes episode. Post an episode review. Eat lunch. Work on next year's firewood supply. (all the ash trees have died so I'm cutting them so they don't go to waste). Ride my dirt bike on the trails and/or work on my trails. Take a shower. Eat supper. Sit on porch reading. Take a walk. Hang out with wife. Watch recorded dirt bike races on TV after she goes to bed....she has to get up at 5. Retirement feels like being a kid again but without being told what to do.

Waylon's birthday is June 15 so maybe we can have a party.

Some people aren't happy no matter what you do. Spike, you need to get a shirt that says "Quit complaining and put a Dukes DVD in." I had a great day today. I'm building more trails for my dirt bike. Retirement is sweet!

Though I felt like telling her good luck finding someone else to mow her lawn and trim her hedges for $20. I would've told her where to put her $20, her yard and what to do, once she got it all up in there!

I hope we don't get that Hong Kong variant that was mentioned on the news the other day. Guess that city is #1 in Covid deaths in the world at the moment.

It's amazing his career survived the goofy gimmicks that WCW came up with for him such as Gator and later the Diamond Studd before WWF called him up. Vince and the creative team would at least let wrestler's have a say in their character in the WWF unlike WCW at the time. Kevin Nash and the Undertaker as well both had goofy gimmicks in WCW before hitting it big in WWF. Scott passed away last night after several hours off of life support Since AT&T is turning off 3g network this month tracfone sent my dad a smartphone to replace the ancient phone he had. I had a fun 3+ hours yesterday showing him how to at least make calls on it. Why the couldn't they have just sent him a flip phone. And he makes everything out to be harder than it actually is and boy did I have a banger of a headache when I got home. He should've been happy they sent him a $100 phone for free and that he finally has a phone that has a signal away from the interstates instead of the whole time.
