Hey folks,
Had a few requests here and elsewhere to see the entire lineup (so far) of my Hazzard County fleet which has been under construction for the past 6 years.
None of these are out-of-the-box, each taking a huge investment of time, research and effort. Greatest challenges were in the tow truck.
Next project is already in the research and materials-gathering stage.
Hope you enjoy!
SRX Series was back on asphalt this week at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indiana. SRX had a little fun with Paul Tracy by having him show up in the back of a police car for security . Scott Speed dominated the 1st heat race leading all the laps and winning. Helio Castroneves won the 2nd heat race after passing Paul Tracy on the 5th lap. Ernie Francis Jr won the Main Feature Race leading all but 11 or 21 laps, typo on SRX website not sure which number is correct.

1 Ernie Francis Jr
2 Bobby Labonte
3 Scott Speed
4 Marco Andretti
5 Bobby Santos
6 Michael Waltrip
7 Tony Stewart
8 Paul Tracy
9 Helio Castroneves
10 Tony Kanaan

Nascar Cup series returned to Road America for the first time since 1956. Chase Elliot won holding off hard charging Gibbs teammates, giving Hendrick Motorsports it's 10th win of the season. I still think they should have kept Daytona on the July 4th weekend.
Top 10
1 Chase Elliot
2 Christopher Bell
3 Kyle Busch
4 Kurt Busch
5 Denny Hamlin
6 Chase Briscoe
7 Ross Chastain
8 Tyler Reddick
9 Martin Truex jr
10 Matt Dibenedetto
Kurt Busch already had talks with Trackhouse Racing so he's rumored to be the top candidate to drive the 2nd car when they take over Ganassi's Nascar teams at the end of the season.
Finally got some sleep last night, only a few fireworks were shot off nearby. At least it was nothing like this...
this happened on the other side of town. And people wonder why I say don't move to Toledo. To top it off Ohio legislators just legalized fireworks though the governor has yet to sign the bill.
Had a busy weekend myself. Was planning on relaxing and watching all the races on NBC but ended up only watching the last half of the Cup race Sunday afternoon. Laid a second coat of paint on a lady's patio Saturday after the local home depot worker snookered her and said she needed a 2nd coat even though on the can it says one coat paint. She really only needed a small can of touch up paint to touch up a few little spots where the wind blew a few leaves on after I laid down the first coat a few weeks ago.
Sunday I "helped" (did all the work) my dad with patching the concrete wall by the steps leading to the basement outside door. Not sure which Home store he went to but a goofball worker strikes again, sold him a 50lbs bag of fence post concrete. I didn't feel like going back to the store and getting the correct stuff so I made do, if it holds up good if not I don't care. I only ended up using a few inches of the bag to patch all the areas so a 10lbs or smaller bag would have worked. Wife was real happy about that because I ruined her Sunday plans to hang out with some of her family. I'm getting real sick of every time my uncle mentions this or that needs to be taken care of at my dad's house then my dad whining/harassing me till I do it instead of him doing it himself which he is entirely capable of doing.
I shouldn't have been surprised that Weird Al included Gilligan's Island theme lyrics in a song - seven years earlier he parodied Tone-Loc's 'Wild Thing' with a song about the show called 'Isle Thing'.
Very sad. There are only 2 stars left from the original '63 Pilot and 1 star left from the series '64-'67. From the Pilot Nancy McCarthy(Bunny the secretary) & Kitt Smythe(Ginger the secretary)from the series Tina Louise(Ginger the Movie Star).
