  1. I don't think I've noticed that before, Roger. From what I can see, Zeb was played by Richard Johnson, but the part is uncredited. He was previously one of the ultralight pilots in 'Daisy's Shotgun Wedding' (where he was credited as Rick Johnson). I assumed Toby was Dr. Davis' bearded assistant, but I can't find any contemporary pictures of him for comparison, and he isn't named in the dialogue. I'll try to watch the episode in full over the weekend.

    Covid-19 vaccine

It it gets approved over here, it looks like healthcare workers and vulnerable people will (rightly) get the first batch. After that I'll have to see about the availability.

  5. It's November and it's cooling off outside but things are always warm and cozy on the HazzardNet with nice folks like Lori Davenport hanging out here and that's one reason she has been selected as HazzardNet's Fan of the Month. Lori is pretty famous around here. She's somewhat of a celebrity since she really is from Hazard. We don't mind that her hometown of Hazard Kentucky forgot to add the other Z. All that matters to us is that Lori loves the same favorite show we all do and, in many ways, she represents what the Dukes of Hazzard is all about. Lori joined the HazzardNet in the summer of 2007 and has blessed us with around 2,700 posts. She is 18 years old and has been a fan of the show most of her life. Her mother is a huge Dukes fan so Lori grew up loving the Dukes as well. (Lori's mom has great parenting skills) Growing up in Hazard was a lot like the Dukes growing up in Hazzard. Both are small towns where everybody works hard and has good old fashioned values. Lori has cousins she hangs out with and they act a lot like the Dukes. They kick up dust, fix cars, have farm animals and respect the family patriarch (Lori's grandpa is the Uncle Jesse of the family). Hazard is a southern town with speed traps, southern hospitality and even a vehicle that looks like the Mean Green Machine. In fact, the cast of the Dukes of Hazzard even visited there in 1982 and Lori's mom got to meet them. Lori loves the Dukes because it's great family entertainment, has happy endings, teaches good lessons, is funny, and occasionally has country music. She has all 7 seasons on DVD and loves the HazzardNet because folks here make you feel like family. She respects the moderators for all the work they do (and did) in creating and maintaining the best website on the internet. Amen, Lori! If you ask her who her favorite characters are, she'll respond that she like them all. Rosco and Flash have a slight edge over some of the others. Enos, Jesse and Luke are right behind, followed closely by everyone else. Lori is a huge fan of some of the older country music stars. Some of her favorites are Johnny Cash, Waylon, Tom Wopat, Conway Twitty, Dolly, Randy Travis, Keith Whitley and George Strate (no relation to Enos Strate). Lori keeps busy taking care of her horses, 3 dogs and cat named Midnight. She also enjoys softball and is a Texas Tech fan. She is passionate about reading, writing and drawing. She loves to draw cartoons and reading anything by J.R.R. Tolkien is one of her favorite things to do. She participates in fanfics involving Tolkien as well as Harry Potter. In fact she loves Tolkien's work so much she has learned the Elvish language Sindarin. One language everybody here on the HazzardNet knows is the language of Hazzard County. Those folks in Hazard Kentucky might not spell it right but everybody else here on this website sure wishes we lived in a place with a name like that. Since we don't, we're thankful that we do have a real resident of Hazard here to add a bit of Hazard excitement to this place. Thanks for all your contributions Lori. You're our favorite Hazard cousin.

  7. Thanks Roger and Hoss! You may not be able to tell them you're fan of the month any longer, but at least we all know you were one of the lucky ones to be rewarded with it!

  8. Congratulations Lori, I thought I'd get in first to pass the 'Fan of the Month' baton on to you. The month goes quickly, and it's sad that I can no longer tell people that I'm 'Fan of the Month', but you are a worthy successor. Hoss

  9. It's been awhile since the HazzardNet has had a Fan of the Month who doesn't post on a regular basis but Ray Kohn of Northeast Ohio Dukes sure deserves the honor and that's exactly what he's getting for the month of September. We'll soon start to see the temperatures cool off after Labor Day passes but Ray's love of the Dukes of Hazzard will always be as hot as the General Lee's exhaust pipes. In fact, he's going to be taking his love of the show to a high level to start the month off....literally. Once again, he's going to be flying the orange 01 Charger in his Dukes of Hazzard Stunt Show on September 4th. Go to the "Sept 4th Dukes Stunt Show" thread for more information and go to Ray's website www.Northeastohiodukes.com for even more details. While you're there check out the videos of some of his previous adventures in the General Lee. It's hard to say what seperates a fan from a superfan but there's no doubt that Ray is about as much of a superfan as a person can get. His love of the show runs deeper than the bottomless quicksand in the Hazzard Swamp and his accomplishments in promoting the greatest television show in history are legendary. Some people DO and some people WATCH and Ray most definitely fits into the first catagory. While most of us are content to slip our DVDs in and express our love of Hazzard County on the HazzardNet, Ray lives it. His three top priorites in life are family, friends and fun and Ray manages to weave all three of them into his love of the TV show, his stunt show and his club, the Northeast Ohio Dukes. Ray plays Bo Duke in the stunt shows and for good reasons...he loves action, he's not afraid to take a chance, he shows respect to everybody around him, he's friendly and polite, he cares about his family and community, his energy level is sky high and he'll be the first one there if someone needs help. If you check out his website, you'll see that he became a Dukes fan on the day he was born. The love of the show runs in his family. In fact, CMT did a television special that featured them in 2007. If ever there was a family that reminded you of the Dukes, it's the Kohns and it all started with Ray's father who is the Uncle Jesse of the family. Mr Kohn even owns a 1973 white Ford F-150 that's identical to the Dukes patriarch's. Ray's favorite episode is "The Dukes Meet Cale Yarborough." He wore out the part of the DVD on that episode where three General Lees are driving beside each other. He has all 7 seasons on DVD and they're all wore out from overuse too. He's been to seven DukesFests and has met all the surviving stars multiple times and knows some of them very well. Here's a shocker. He might play Bo on his stunt show but his favorite character is.....Luke! Yep, that's not a misprint. Ray's experiences with the Dukes of Hazzard are truly the stuff of legends. If there was ever a contest to see who the greatest Dukes of Hazzard fan of all time was, a lot of folks here on the HazzardNet would certainly be in the running. While we were all standing around arguing who's the biggest, Ray would just jump over the whole group of us with his Dixie horn blaring. That might not answer the question of who the biggest fan is, but it would sure get our attention....and getting attention for the greatest television show ever, is what Ray Kohn does best.
