Sonny Shields was a pro boxer. If you watch the DukesVision commentary, John says, "That guy could've tied one arm behind his back and beat the c**p out of all of us." Tom recalls that Sonny spent a couple of days teaching him to box, and that he had a headache for two weeks after filming the fight.

I thought it was funny when Boss was trying to stall the fight and told the crooks, when Daisy was singing the anthem for the second time, " Don't you know you're not supposed to interrupt " Oh say can you see"? LOL!

--Daisy also did a good job with the National Anthem. She was a little flat but yes, pretty good. I didn't know she had such a deep voice....II Alto! ( lower than I Alto bit higher than I Tenor) ....She just might be able to sing I Tenor!

Didn't we look this up before and find out that Catfish (Sonny Shields) was really a pro boxer? When Bo said he'd fight him Luke said Catfish would drop him like a dirty shirt yet Bo looked pretty evenly matched with Luke in the Carnival of Thrills fight. That's what I was thinking! If he was THAT good....Bo wouldn't have hung in there with him like he did!

And in This Corner, Luke Duke....season 3 After watching Luke lift a heavy mirror in the Boar's Nest, the manager of boxer Catfish Lee, winner of 33 consecutive fights, stirs up trouble and Catfish causes Luke to break the $3000 mirror. Luke, a USMC boxing champion, gets thrown in jail and Boss and Catfish's manager plan to get Luke and Catfish box in public. Luke doesn't want to but changes his mind since they would lose the farm if he doesn't. He almost changes his mind again when he knocks out Cooter in a sparing match. Two other bad guys kidnap Luke just before the fight because Boss would have to give up the $7000 fight money if Luke doesn't show up but Rosco and Jesse rescue him and get him there on time. Luke loses the first 3 rounds but KOs Catfish in round 4 after Jesse's inspirational talk. While the fight was going on the other 2 bad guys steal the 7 grand out of Boss's trunk but Bo and Luke catch all 4 bad guys when the General jumps through an old barn and collapses it on top of them. -- It would have been funny to call Luke The Redneck Rocky in the posters. -- Cletus actually made a pretty good referee despite getting the rights that are read when getting arrested with the pre fight rules. --Daisy also did a good job with the National Anthem. -- Didn't we look this up before and find out that Catfish (Sonny Shields) was really a pro boxer? When Bo said he'd fight him Luke said Catfish would drop him like a dirty shirt yet Bo looked pretty evenly matched with Luke in the Carnival of Thrills fight.

Erie County Pennsylvania just got denied going into the green phase. On one hand our county exectuve campaigned for it. On the other hand she kept saying how bad our numbers are and how nobody is social distancing. I guess the governor listened to her doomsday talk. Where I come from that's called shooting yourself in the foot.

I took my grandson kayaking in Conneaut Ohio yesterday. We went right beside a 1000 foot freightliner called the Edgar B Speer. It was so cool to be floating in the water right beside something that huge. My county had 31 new covid cases yesterday, a new record for us. Beautiful day so far. I'm going on a solo kayak trip today and watching dirt bike races later.

The episode title is likely inspired by the book and movie from the late 70s, The Amityville Horror. Hey, I never thought about this! Wow! Good call!! -- I loved the scene where Flash has his paws on the dashboard and when Rosco told him to buckle up for safety he did! This was great! You could tell it was where they reversed the tape of Flash getting out of it but I always enjoyed this! Also, classic scene when Rosco's car went under a truck, turning it into a convertible and turning Rosco's hat into a convertible too. This was hilarious and I thought it made him look really funny as he walked around with it sticking up! LOL!
