Mr. Best, my mother and I were blessed to attend your magnificent One Man Show in our hometown of Portland TN. Out of all your accomplishments what I admire most is that you give the credit to the Good Lord, I wish more folks now a days would. It was a pleasure meeting you and your lovely wife. Thanks again for the picture and signing my cowboy team guitar pickguard, I'll send a pic when the "Western" telecaster is done. If your ever back in town I know a great fish'n hole! Thank You Very Much. Well I got a couple of questions here, First What do you think of the new movies coming out in Hollywood and how they keep making remakes of the old tv shows or old movies now? Second: Are you for or Againist a remake of your classic Movie "The Killer Shrews" I have this movie on video and dvd myself?

Some people loved it, and some absolutely was offended by it, and I am dying to know your take on this. I would like to know Mr. James best, what is your real opinion about the movie of the Dukes of hazzard? That was so not the dukes, and they sure picked a poor Rosco and Boss Hogg, but I won't get into the mess they made of our beloved show, but I really want to know what you think Mr. best. Did it make you gag, or feel like saying "Judas Priest on a pony!!!!" I was wandering something I had read that you was in World War II, well I had heard from family so was my Grandfather as well his name was Theodore Szenger and he was a Merchant Marine. From hearing from another Merchant Marine Veteran they was the people that got supplies behind enemies lines, what was your experiance during World War II like fo you and did you ever know any Merchant Marines yourself?

I guess the main question that comes to mind for me is what was it like working with Sorrell Booke ? I think Rosco and Boss Hogg ranks right up there with Laurel and Hardy and all the great comedy teams. Rarely an episode goes by that I don't break out in laughter. That kind of comedy is almost impossible to find on TV this day and age. The two of you played off each other so well. I heard somewhere that Mr. Booke had a difficult time with the other actors that played the sheriff while you left the show for a brief time. I heard that he demanded your return because he couldn't work with those other people

What was your favorite Dukes episode to film? I'm betting it was either "Go West Young Dukes" or "Too Many Roscos" Thanks so much for answering our questions.

I noticed that the big banner at the end of "One Armed Bandits" spelled Roscoe with an E. Was that the way the writers had originally spelled your name? If so, why'd they change it?
