Long overdue for recognition is TimDuke, who joined HazzardNet in Oct 2001. TimDuke is also a longstanding member of the CGLFC. TimDuke is a man of few words, but of deep sincerity; if he has something to say, he says what he means. He is also passionate about the General Lee and is among the lucky few to own one. January is the time of the year that most folks dream of Waikiki Beach but the first Fan Of The Month of 2011 dreams of the beach all year long. If you haven't already guessed, the latest fan of the month is waikiki23. Even though waikiki dreams of Hawaii, her roots are practically in Hazzard County considering she was born and grew up an hour from Atlanta. Last I knew I was still in charge of this section so until MM fires me or throws me in the HazzardNet jail I'm going to violate the rules and give credit to a moderator, even though moderators aren't eligible. Hoss has been around this place for well over a decade and has logged in over 5,500 posts. It doesn't matter that none of them made any sense, that's a lot of posts. Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is standing in front of us. Both of these holidays remind us of how much we have to be thankful for. The moderators of the HazzardNet aren't eligible to receive the Fan of the Month award and since Santa is watching we're not going to break the rules. We are going to bend them a little by saving the best for last and designating the final month of the year as a time to honor our moderators. Meadowmufn, MaryAnne and Brian are like parents to us. Skipper was the first person who befriended me in my short experience on Facebook and I'm proud to be his friend here on the HazzardNet. Thanks for all your contributions Skipper. Our September 2012 Fan o’ the Month is JadedPhoenixBurning! Now don’t let that hot handle fool ya, Jaded has been cool addition to our HNet community, joining up in October of 2011. She’s an avid fanfic writer and came to HNet looking to share her stories and meet other Dukes fans and fanfic writers. It's been awhile since the HazzardNet has had a Fan of the Month who doesn't post on a regular basis but Ray Kohn of Northeast Ohio Dukes sure deserves the honor and that's exactly what he's getting for the month of September. We'll soon start to see the temperatures cool off after Labor Day passes but Ray's love of the Dukes of Hazzard will always be as hot as the General Lee's exhaust pipes. April 1st is Sadie Hogg Day in Hazzard County so things are always a little confusing around Hazzard on the first day of this month. One thing we're not confused about is how much we love DaneyDuke and that's why she has been selected as HazzardNet's Fan of the Month for April 2010. Daney is one of the few folks still active on the HazzardNet who have been around since it's early years. I have to pat myself on the back for doing such a good job of keeping February's Fan of the Month recipient secret. I bet none of you saw this coming. Mark B has been with the best website on the internet since 2009 and was the Fan of the Month recipient in August of 2015. HazzardNet's Fan of the Month for August 2011 is CDoherty95! Congrats! There were several good contestants for this month. CDoherty95 was selected due to his perseverance in re-building another "General Lee" bicycle after his original creation was stolen. This shows great dedication to his love of "The Dukes of Hazzard" as well as strong personal character in not giving up. CDoherty95 is also an active participant in our Forums and has generated good discussions. We're pleased to recognize him as the Fan of the Month for his contributions to the Dukes of Hazzard fandom. Sorry for the dry spell here. We have plenty of HNet members worthy of the fan of the month, but I got busy with a double-dose of "real life" stuff and ended up AWOL from HNet for awhile.
