Dukes of Hazzard News

Does anyone know about this? I hope they do show them all so I can record them on to VHS. Buying the seasons on DVD just doesn't seem right. Back when the Dukes aired, no one even had thought of such a thing.

Congratulations to "Slick ", a/k/a Christopher Nelson, who was awarded the CMT VP gig. Formal announcement to be made at DukesFest, but CNN hit the wire with it this morning, so what the hell. Just curious. I plan on recording them from CMT on VHS. I was going to buy the Smokeyand the Bandit DVD today, but read that it is in widescreen, put it back, and said "Bring back the VHS tape!" Poor folks like me can't run out and buy a 16:9 ratio TV.

O.K. I'v watched season 1 a few times now and just finished watching season 2, so does anyone know when season 3 might be released?

This quote from a John Schneider interview makes the movie look a little more hopeful than we've been thinking: "JOHN: .........the pending Dukes of Hazzard movie. I just found out tonight that Next week wednesday Dukes season two will be avaliable for purchasing. Found out at my work place because they already have it there but it won't be for sale till the middle of the week. I CAN'T WAIT TO BUY IT. I AM JUST SO EXCITED!!!!!!

I recommend folks rent the new video game before purchasing. It has excellent graphics!!! Original cast voices is a plus. Some of the adventures are not too bad... it seems to be more for an adult audience than kids. At least one level of free roam and multi player, open for folks who don’t want to do the missions would have been nice. There is a "Dixie" horn control button and one for yeehaa. Does anyone know when/if the first season DVD will be released in Australia? I have done abit of searching but haven't yet found an answer. The Dukes have just started airing again in Australia for the first time in a very long while, running right from the start. It's great to see it back on TV.

This tidbit came from the back alleys of Hazzard, and I haven't verified it yet. But there's enough plausibility in this to go ahead and post what I've heard. Season 2 of the Dukes of Hazzard is expected to be in stores in time for Christmas shopping. November 01 is the projected release date. The Season One DVD is enjoying strong sales and has literally flown from the shelves. Reportedly it's been in the top 5 sellers since it's release. If released this fall as projected, it would closely coincide with the third Dukes video game that's slated for release this October. Yes folks it's finally in stores! Dukes of Hazzard: Season One on DVD. I got my copy last night at my local K-mart. Since K-mart has it, I assume that your local Walmart, Target, Meijer or whatever retail chain you prefer to go to, has it for sale. I do know that K-mart had it priced at 29.99 in my area. I don't know what other chains are selling it for but that's the price I paid. I'd imagine that other stores would be in the range of a dollar to five dollars more or less. The Season one set is on two disks. Three eps. to a side of each disk. The case is very brightly colored. I haven't looked at all the features yet but I'll keep you posted on what I find.
