Yes folks it's finally in stores! Dukes of Hazzard: Season One on DVD. I got my copy last night at my local K-mart. Since K-mart has it, I assume that your local Walmart, Target, Meijer or whatever retail chain you prefer to go to, has it for sale. I do know that K-mart had it priced at 29.99 in my area. I don't know what other chains are selling it for but that's the price I paid. I'd imagine that other stores would be in the range of a dollar to five dollars more or less. The Season one set is on two disks. Three eps. to a side of each disk. The case is very brightly colored. I haven't looked at all the features yet but I'll keep you posted on what I find. Roger suggested that those of you who weren't able to attend the concerts in Niagara Falls by Tom and john might like to know a bit about them. I am not a review writer, but I'll try to give you an idea. First of all though I have to say I originally was only going to the Saturday Show. Then John's mom, wonderful lady that she is, heard I didn't have a ticket for Friday and lo and behold I find my self in the third row both nights, close enough to see Tom's beautiful eyes and john's gorgeous smile...but I digress... The show lasted about one and a half hours each night. The songs were all great. Of course they did the Dukes theme both nights....and in tribute to Waylo…

Do you guys remember the crooked sheriff in Cool Hands Bo and Luke? Cashius Claiborne I think? It seems he was in the original movie, Cool Hands Luke and played a similar part in this TDOH episode. I saw where he died at 93, but can't get the article to copy/paste for some reason. I think he was in one or two other DOH episodes, if I'm not mistaken....

I usually just lurk on here rather than post stuff but this past week I had the opportunity to interview Ben Jones about Hazzard Homecoming. Ben was exactly what you'd expect him to be: a nice guy, easy to talk to and good humored. I can't exactly figure out the policy on links here (how do you email an admin? Hey y'all. I'm not sure if y'all have heard of Rusty Cash, one of the, if not the best and most well known Boss Hogg impersonator. If any of you were ever at a Dukes event and there was a Boss Hogg character, chances are it was Rusty. Well unfortunately, he was rushed to hospital earlier. His wife Dana announced this on Rusty's Facebook page earlier, and left a message two hours later saying Rusty was in surgery and it wasn't looking good.
