I just saw something really cool. I was watching CNN just after 4:00 EST and they were talking about Obamacare. (I'll be really careful to not bring up politics since that's against the rules). Boss, Rosco and Flash have made it into the hallowed halls of the United States Congress. Republican Phil Gingrey from the great state of (you guessed it) Georgia had two huge posters of Boss and Rosco w/Flash while he was talking about health care. Burt Reynolds passed away today. He and Jimmie were close. I still remember at Jimmie's 75th birthday, he was surprised by a video birthday message from Burt (and Paul Newman too). It was so thoughtful and great. He'll be missed.

Hey y'all. I'm not sure if y'all have heard of Rusty Cash, one of the, if not the best and most well known Boss Hogg impersonator. If any of you were ever at a Dukes event and there was a Boss Hogg character, chances are it was Rusty. Well unfortunately, he was rushed to hospital earlier. His wife Dana announced this on Rusty's Facebook page earlier, and left a message two hours later saying Rusty was in surgery and it wasn't looking good. While testing out the Dukes DVD link that takes ya over to Amazon.com - I noticed that there's a whole lot of 80's tv for sale in addition to the DOH DVD. Man, nostalgia has hit mass distribution! Considering all the reality tv on the air today, I'm predicting strong sales. Heh heh. And it's no accident that the Knight Rider DVD is shown available underneath the Dukes DVD on the Amazon page. Rides looks back at a classic as it also recreates one for a car-loving Superstar. The "Dukes of Hazzard' speed demon is being recreated and remade into 'Extreme Lee.' Howdy y’all, just wanted to give a heads up in case nobody knows, not sure. Dukes are now available on Amazon Prime to stream, in excellent quality even though its the same as the hd tv airings I think. But definitely watchable! Given that I hope Warner will release the series again on blu ray in much higher quality than the old dvd prints.

In Hazzard, the more things change, the more they stay the same. This is also true at Cooter's Place in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. About a year ago, Cooter's in Gatlinburg relocated to nearby Pigeon Forge due to unforseen circumstances. The new location does not have the 'familily fun center' gocarts and indoor mini golf. However, the new store brings opportunities to build new fun experiences for Dukes fans to enjoy. In addition to easier access and expanded room for events and more cool Hazzard merchandise and collectibles, we are now buiding in the famiilar setting of the Hazzard Garage. O.K. I'v watched season 1 a few times now and just finished watching season 2, so does anyone know when season 3 might be released?

In case yer interested....Amazon.com has the first season of S&H available on DVD. There's 23 episodes for about $35.00. Somethin' to keep ya busy while awaitin' the Dukes DVD's.

I don't do social media or keep up with celebrity gossip, but I'm surprised that no one has mentioned John Schneider getting re-married last month. As most of you know, John lost his third wife, Alicia Allain, to breast cancer in February 2023. He has now married Dee Dee Sorvino, the widow of 'Goodfellas' actor Paul Sorvino. You can read the LA Times article about their marriage here. I've just looked up Dee Dee's bio on IMDb - her birth name was Denessa Purvis Benkie, so maybe she's related to Rosco! As many of you know, Ben 'Cooter' Jones owns and operates 3 Dukes of Hazzard attractions in Tennessee and Virginia. The Virginia location, which was located in Sperryville, has recently moved location a few miles away to neighboring Luray, Virgina. The new Luray location is the biggest venue he has ever had- when it is finished it will have a retail store, Daisy's Diner, Dukes of Hazzard memorabilia museum, and will house replicas of the General Lee, Boss Hogg's Caddy, Roscoe's Patrol Car, Cooter's tow truck, and others. It looks like the British police have finally done what Boss and Rosco struggled with - they've caught the General Lee. The car in question was a replica which had broken down with gearbox trouble (I thought the General only got the vapors!). The police took the opportunity to make a couple of tweets, but admitted that the car was "fully road legal" and no offences had been committed. Full story at www.bbc.com.
