    • I don't know about you folks but I'm sure missing Garrett. It's been two weeks now. Must be watching too many Cubs games.
    • I forgot about The Stranglers: The worse crime that I ever did, was playing rock 'n roll But the money's no good Just get a grip on yourself
    • I wonder what ingredients go in Alf's drink in his series episode Somewhere Over the Rerun. His Skipper Coladas in those Coconuts. He drilled the hole open and filled them with something. I wonder what kind of booze you put in there? I wanna replicate The Skipper Colada.
    • Ozzy might have sung 'Rock 'n' Roll Rebel', but he's a rock/metal artist, not rock 'n' roll. I have dozens of rock 'n' roll songs in my collection, but there's also been a lot of great music before and since (I have music from the 1930s to the present day). Despite rock 'n' roll being mainly a 1950s phenomenon, it has influenced song themes of many later artists, even though they've mainly been rock or pop songs. Here's a few that I have: Joan Jett was obviously fond of the genre when she sang 'I Love Rock 'n' Roll'.  Billy Joel said 'It's Still Rock and Roll to Me'. Bob Seger sang about 'Old Time Rock & Roll'. Led Zeppelin just did 'Rock and Roll'. AC/DC told us that 'Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution'. Prefab Sprout sang about 'The King of Rock 'N' Roll'. Oasis sang about a 'Rock 'N' Roll Star'. Ian Dury even sang about three commonly connected themes - 'Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll'. And Amy Macdonald sang about 'Mr Rock & Roll'. I wouldn't call any of these songs rock 'n' roll, and still can't think of any recent examples of that style, but maybe Danny and the Juniors were right on the soundtrack of Christine when they sang 'Rock And Roll Is Here To Stay'.
    • I like the Suzuka circuit because it's the only figure 8 on the F1 calendar, but today's Japanese Grand Prix was pretty dull. Max Verstappen had mediocre practice sessions, but claimed pole in the final qualifying. In the race, the top six finished in the order they started and all the cars saw the checkered flag. Max was first, followed by the McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc, and the Mercedeses of George Russell and Kimi Antonelli. Lewis Hamilton was seventh. Despite Red Bull swapping drivers after China, Yuki Tsunoda could only finish 12th in the other Red Bull at his home race. Lando Norris now leads Max Verstappen by a single point in the Drivers' Championship. The race highlights are here. Only a week until the next race in Bahrain.
