Mocking and ridiculing beloved tv classics seems to be the "in thing" in Hollywood now. My brother is a die hard Starsky and Hutch fan. I am a die hard Dukes fan. And neither of us are jumping for joy to see our favorite shows made into painful parodies.

why don't we just boycott the movie? i know i'm not gonna go see it. it's downright shameful that they didn't get input from the original cast/crew...anyone else just doesn't work...they didn't even bother with getting people that looked like the original characters...ugh...it's just disgusting and disheartening and i refuse to go see the movie!!!!!

Okay, Johnny Knoxville is Always going to be best known for his MTV series Jackass and Jackass The Movie. Now ive seen his parts in Duces Wild, MIB 2, Walking Tall, Gte Shorty. He really isnt that bad of an actor, Suprisingly! However a bit of a persons personality Always leaks into the character at hand. And dont be so swift to judge. Hes an Actor. We all know that the casting director could have done a better job with a list of names, a blindfold, and a dart, but I would imagine that most people here are planning on buying the Season 3 DVD set, which comes with a free ticket to the movie. But make sure that you buy it before the movie comes out, those "free tickets" are usually only valid during opening week. That way, we can complain about the apparent flaws in the upcoming movie and still not have to hear "just give it a chance." Because we can plan on seeing the movie without having to pay for a ticket, still be giving it a chance, and not have to compromise our expectations for Hollywood not to deviate from t…

I was just watching my tape of TLC's Rides and got to thinking how I would make an "Exteme Lee". I would put more chrome on it for sure. The cow-catcher on the front would be chrome as would the rims. I'd put some kinda 18 polished aluminum racing wheels on it. I love old muscle car's with 18 on them. I do the interior something the King Ranch editions of Ford trucks with different shades of brown leather and saddlebags. Instead of a 440 magnum I'd put a 426 hemi. The paint job would stay the same except I try to maybe to have a subtle 01 on the roof outlinged in the rebel flag to make it look more NASCAR.

What if the Hogg Burt Reynolds plays is really a nephew or something with the exact same name as the original JD? The film could open up with a scene where Burt is sitting behind his desk counting cash, with a painting of the first Boss Hogg (may he rest in peace) on the wall in the office. Yeah, the latest Hogg is tall and skinny, but still a Hogg for money. Here's something else not related. I'd kind of like to see Shiriff Cotrane with a promotion or two under his belt. Like give him a couple more men to command, or something like that. A way of showing that even Hazzard county evloves with the times. Anyway, that's my two cents. Can't wait for Daisy and the General.!!

James Bond is about to be played by a 6th actor. Lots of actors have played Robin Hood and Superman and Batman and they have all done well at the box office or on tv.. It is never the same when they mess around with tv shows and books or remake films. Lets all face it they have made a new Dukes of Hazzard for the cinema. Well after all i have read about Jessica Simpson snubbing her nose at people during filming and all, it is in my best saying....GO TO HELL!!!! She does not realize what type of role she has gotten as I am sure she was only 2 when the Dukes of Hazzard premeired.... I have seen numerous pictures of the filming and I still believe Scott and Knoxville are not Bo and Luke but they are not as bad as I was once percieving. Just saw a quick story about the movie on Entertainment tonight. Not very informatinve but showed some pretty cool shots of the General in action. Uncle Jesse apartently drives a blue mid 80's to early 90's Dodge Pick-up truck, and saw Knoxville dressed in Boss Hogg's outfit. Daisy kicks some guy in the chest at the Boars Nest, and it showed Scott filming a scene driving the General by himself. Other than that it didn't show much.

i have heard that they me using a new dodge charger for the general instead of the classic 69. it doesnt look bad and has potential, but there hasnt been a release date yet for it the other car could be a dodge stratus coupe (yuck) so what is your opinion - 69 charger, 05 charger or 05 stratus i think the 05 charger would look good, but not as good as the 69

So long as we're Christmas shoppin' for what we'd like in the new Dukes flick, lemme throw this one out there. Besides the '69 Charger starring as the General Lee, what other types of late-model cars or muscle cars would you want on the big screen? I remember that a Mustang was in the first reunion movie, and I enjoyed the fact that it was companionable to the General as far as age goes. (Anybody remember it, the "Double Zero?" I dont' recall the model year of the Mustang - it's a Ford, so you'll have to excuse me. But it sets a good example. It also got it's own die-cast release by ERTL.
