Dukes of Hazzard Movies

I just wanted to pass along some information that I received on Sunday after speaking with Mr. Don Schisler, the in charge of the first General Lees ever built for 'The Dukes of Hazzard'. Without me asking him about the possiblity of another 'Dukes' movie, he said, "I don't know if you've heard, but there's definately another movie in the works. Although it's probably a couple of years away, I've heard that they're going to do it right this time as far as the casting and and story goes." I was an extra during the filming out at the raceway in Erwinville for the beginning and finish of the rally race. I had a great time during the filming and even more so when I saw myself in the movie on the big screen. I want to thank the casting and production people on behalf of all the extras from here in Louisiana for the opportunity to participate in such a fun movie.

In My oppinion some of the cast should be original cast members aswell as some new faces. For Instance, Tommy Lee Jones would make a bad version of Roscoe p. coltrane because he lacks the personality of the charicter but, maybe a new charicter can be created with him in the movie or he can play Uncle Jesse's charicter ? If that wont work then maybe someone like Kenny Rodgers can play Uncle Jesse's character or maybe George Carlin? Roscoe p. coltrane's character can be played by, Don Knotts or Burt Renolds. Brat Pitt would make a good Bo Duke character. Luke Duke can be played by, Ashton Kutchner. Daisy Duke's character would be better played by somebody like Jessica sim…

In case any of you were curious the producer of the Dukes movie hired the stunt coordinator from the Borne Supremecy to do the car chase scenes and for any of you that have scene that movie this is good news! All the scenes in that film were exciting and hair raising. It tells me that they are taking this movie seriously even if it's gonna have a more contemporary feel, which I like. They made 23 General Lee's for the chase scenes alone and had a few others that didn't get destroyed. And good news for all you Mopar fans out there, most of the cars they destroyed were actually wrecks from the t.v. that they rebuilt, so no gratuitous Charger crashing like Fast and the F…

I was reading IMDB today and wanted to verify some of the supposed "goofs" in the movie. Well I was surprised to find this one was actually true. The pictures were larger, but I figured you would need to see more than one to get the idea, so here are several. This is right before they "shoot the moon".

There is very little news here about the filming. apparently very hush hush... But........ There is a building leased to HAZZARD US Productions here in South Central Louisiana. Lots of work happening inside. No closed windows.. Can see it all right now. Local news did article on upcoming historical home tour and said one home was selected to be on the movie the Dukes of Hazzard. So therefore, it wouldn't be available for the tour. They wouldn't even give the location of the home. But , if you are from this area, you would know which house it is. Then rumor has it they are going to be taping north of here. well first off this is my first post because i am new 2 the boards and i wanted 2 ask is there gonna be little like 1/24th scale general lees and other cars out wen it gets closer to the release? if so r their gonna be action figures, models, and some sort of adaptation of the movie? thanks

So I figured out that I won't be able to travel all the way to LA to join the bar hopping and off-set social hours with the cast....my best bet is to go to the premiere of the movie when it arrives.......can anyone out thar in hazzard country tell me when, where?

Anyone know when this will happen? Usually a few weeks before the movie goes to theater.....when, where?

Ok we all know that EVIL WB did not contact any of the original cast to try and incule them, which IMO is very disrespectful. Anyone know if the US premiere has been had? I wonder if they are inviting the original cast. I mean, to have the movie premiere with a grip of stars, and not invite the Original Cast, would be HORRENDOUS!! Disrespectful, and rude. Dont you think?

While going to my local target at 9:00 AM, I passed the cheap movie section and saw dukes of hazzard there for 13.97$ all I have to say is..... YAY!

If this new "review" of the movie is true, which I doubt, there's alot of inconsistencies. First, the person says that the car starts off orange with different fonted numbers on the doors, but the flag isn't on it until after the first jump when it's wrecked? It's not even called The General Lee unitl some hillbillys help fix the car and that's when the flag is painted on along with "General Lee." Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Cooter supposed to be the one fixing the car and painting all the logos on? This of course after they bring him a BLACK charger. When CMT starts airing the Dukes. During the Marathon will they have a possible sneak preview trailer for the upcoming movie.

Got this idea from looking at one of Brad's recent posts. How many times have ya'll seen the movie?

Anybody see the trailer during tonights episode of Joey on NBC? Starts out with the General jumping and blowing the Dixie horn, then introduces the characters, then says in theaters August 5th.

Despite the new movie being ridiculous, the trailer is REALLY COOL! It can be seen at Warner Bros website

Official word is that Warner Brothers has 2 movie trailers that will premiere at the superbowl, one is the new full lenght trailer for Batman Begins and the other is what is called a teaser for the dukes of hazzard. Batman begins will be 2 1/2 minutes long while the DOH Teaser will be less than 30 seconds

Does anybody know what the instrumental guitar song is in the newest Hazzard trailer that plays in the beginning after the star wars music? I don't want to know about the star wars music, but the guitar music.
