Enos mentions of couple of unseen Hazzardites in 'Enos Strate to the Top' when he's listing the important crimes he's solved: "All I could put down was rescuing Mrs. Finster's cat from a telephone pole and finding Abner Peabody's long-johns after the hurricane of '72."

Here's a video about a decisive day near the start of World War II. British pilots, along with help from others from Poland, allies and Commonwealth nations, saw off the Luftwaffe and indefinitely postponed the German invasion of Britain. Among the commenters are actor/presenter Nicholas Parsons, former Member of Parliament Tony Benn, "Forces Sweetheart" Dame Vera Lynn, art critic Brian Sewell and comedy writer Jimmy Perry (who co-wrote the much-loved WWII sitcom 'Dad's Army' about the Home Guard). Some of them were young children at the time, and tell how their view of war went from excitement to horror, but also how a lot of mundane activities continued despite everything going on around them. There are also interviews with pilots and the people plotting the battles. This is "World War II: The 13 Hours That Saved Britain". It's 48 minutes long, but well worth it.

I believe The Amityville Horror. I believe the story of George and Kathy Lutz. Because we don't know what's out there in the world. ๐ฒ ๐จ

It seems to be mainly female artists catching my ear with new music at the moment. First and most recent, Irish rock band Florence Road. A change of style for the track. This is British singer Raye. This song mixes several styles (R&B, soul, pop, big band and a bit of gospel) at a fast pace. She's touring the US between March and May. Finally, a change of pace for another British singer. Olivia Dean recently won the Grammy for Best New Artist.

I'd never heard of this before. Adrian IV, the only English pope, allegedly gave King Henry II permission to rule the island of Ireland, probably to impose Catholicism on the population. However, it's still debated as to whether the papal decree ever existed. -

I'll paint the flag....I just love that flag......guess who said it? Give cousin Zech time to answer it before you veterans give it away!

That flag must have taken a lot of time. Looks so good that I thought it was a decal.

Happy DOHD everybody!! I'm going to celebrate by grabbing a few Coors Light long necks ( I know I know....Doctor says no but....hey ya gotta cut loose every now/then) and putting in some DOH.....it's not a REAL Friday night without TDOH!! ( a few minutes later.....) I'm watching the first DVD in season 5, " The New Dukes" etc. I think this episode had a VERY weak story line! The whole Coy/Vance thing was weak. I'm wondering something completely different that has nothing to do with TDOH....I saw this in my reading yesterday and I thought of Hoss! What do you think of this Hoss? What's your opinion? In 1155, the Pope gave Ireland to the English King to rule ( Why I have no idea!!....Hoss??) , which has caused most of the problems in Ireland. * Hey! What have you guys been up to? What are you watching? What episode? ( I HOPE ya'll are watching TDOH....it's DOHD you know!) OK guys, I know you wee just dying to know what I'd watch next....well....it's " Lawman of the Year " in case anybody wants to join me! * Howsome Ever i got a feeling nobody else is even on here right now! ...... - Yesterday

We used to take Buttermilk and make biscuits from scratch. You put in the flour, and mix in all the ingredients and some Buttermilk and....WOW! A great tasting biscuit....like sausage and biscuits, etc.....

Do you mean biscuits as in biscuits and gravy, because if you do we don't have them here. They seem to be a US and Canada thing. The nearest we have are scones, which tend to be sweet and often contain dried fruit. What we call biscuits are what you guys call cookies.
-
Same here! That's how I came to like it. In second grade the teacher asked who likes Buttermilk and everybody's like ugh! ...and I was the only one to raise my hand!
-
I would LOVE to have a General just like that!! AND you painted it yourself! I'm very impressed!
-
The more I see it....the more jealous I get! LOL! ...you got it good cousin!!
-
try it like that for biscuits....it's great!
