I'm not sure that the 8-minute highlights will do justice to today's British Grand Prix. There had been rain before the race leaving most of the track wet. Franco Colapinto was due to start from the pits after crashing yesterday, but in the end he didn't make it, leaving 19 cars on the grid. They all started the formation lap on the intermediate tires, but several cars peeled into the pits before the start to gamble of slick tires. Max Verstappen kept the lead at the start, but it was soon clear that Red Bull's low downforce setup wasn't going to work so well in the wet conditions. Behind them, Liam Lawson got hit by Esteban Ocon on the first lap and Gabriel Bortoleto spun off on slick tires on lap 4. Oscar Piastri took the lead on lap 8. A couple of laps later, the rain began to fall. All the leaders pitted for new intermediate tires, and although Lando Norris had just passed Max on the track, a slow pit stop for Lando saw the positions swap back. The rain then got worse, bringing out the first full safety car. Another safety car came out when Isack Hadjar hit the back of Kimi Antonelli's car. If you watch the video below, you'll see that the visibility was close to zero. Kimi had to retire his car a few laps later. At the end of the second safety car we had the most controversial call of the race. Leading the pack and controlling their speed, Oscar accelerated and then braked trying to warm his tires. Max thought he was starting to push and briefly passed him, which is not allowed behind the safety car. Oscar was deemed to have driven erratically and given a 10-second penalty, which the commentators and his team thought was harsh. At the next corner, Max spun his car and slipped to 9th and then 10th. With about 8 laps to go and the track drying, the drivers finally switched to slick tires. Lewis Hamilton had been getting faster as the circuit dried, but in the end he could only make it back to fourth place. Lando became the 13th British winner of the British Grand Prix ahead of team mate Oscar. The result of the day and driver of the day was Kick Sauber's Nico Hulkenberg in third. He started 19th and last on the grid and claimed his first podium finish in 239 race starts. After his spin. Max eventually climbed back to finish fifth. Lando is now only 8 points behind Oscar in the drivers' championship, while McLaren look to have an unassailable lead in the constructors' championship with another 43 points today. Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes each only had one scoring driver with 12, 10 and 1 points respectively. You can see the highlights here. It's now three weeks until the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa.

Range Rover are playing up their Britishness in their latest commercial advertising their sponsorship of the Wimbledon tennis tournament.

Oh Roger, that’s not good news at all. Shoot, anything they can do for it? Also thanks for the belated wishes And I didn’t know about that actually, been meaning to look into the animated series more. I know a box set was released by Warner Bros at one time, of the cartoon series. Not sure if it’s still in print or not.

Basically the same thing, celebrating the date of our founding as a nation, July 1st 1867.

Skipper Duke started following Happy Canada Day and How was your 4th Of July

Mine was awesome! Stayed in listened to fireworks while watching my Dukes marathon. I had myself a Dukes of Hazzard Duke-a-thon marathon just like the old TNN (The Nashville Network) used to do. I had my Duke-a-thon on YouTube. I did it on the TV Stunter channel.

Garrett's car sputters a bit but is back to firing on all 8 cylinders in a jiffy. He's still in first. In fact, nobody has passed anybody these past few seconds but Garrett's lead isn't as big as it once was. And now Emma is fighting Jesse for fourth place. She is right behind him ready to make a pass on his truck. She has plenty of practice since she makes a pass on him every time he comes into the post office. -
Sorry to hear about your health Tom. I hope you are better. I think I have a herniated disc in my lower back so I'm in bad shape myself. Belated Happy Canada Day. Did you know there is a Dukes cartoon called The Canadian Caper?

episodes aired on cast members birthdays
HossC replied to joshkeith1090's topic in Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion
The only other one I've found is 'The Haunting of J.D. Hogg' from season 7. It originally aired on 4 January, 1985, which was Sorrell Booke's 55th birthday. With the exception of the first season which was a mid-season replacement, Dukes generally aired between mid-September and mid-March. Weirdly, most of the lead actors had birthdays in spring and summer. I only looked up the main actors, so it's possible that some of the guest stars' episodes aired on their birthdays. -

I used to respect him so much till he went all extreme in his political leanings. -
It looked like being a shoot-out between Oscar Piastri and Lewis Hamilton for pole in tomorrow's British Grand Prix, but Lewis lost a small amount of time at the end of his final fast lap. Then, against the odds, Max Verstappen put his Red Bull on pole right at the end of the session. Red Bull have gambled on a low downforce setup giving them speed on the straights, but less grip in the bends. That might give them trouble in the race if it rains. Lewis starts in fifth at his home race, ahead of his team mate Charles Leclerc, but behind Max, Oscar, Lando Norris and George Russell. That's still three Brits in the top five. You can watch the highlights here.
