The Queen of country music turns 89 today. She's in poor health but don't believe those internet stories that say she's gone. Loretta is.....and always will be.... my favorite female singer. Her voice is as unique as a voice can get...just like her friend Patsy Cline. When you heard their voices you didn't have to stop and ask who it was. We love you Miss Loretta.

I have had the pleasure of getting to meet Chris Hansel three times so far. He is the sweetest person. I just recently saw him at the Carlisle Comic Con on Oct 19. I got a hug from him and he even said to me "how about a little kiss". I gave him a kiss on the cheek. He does give the best hugs. He did invite me to Huang out with him at his hotel on Oct 18 but I was unable to do that. I can't wait to see him on Nov 23-24 when he is at the Manheim Comic Con. I also hope to get another Hensel Hug.

I was watching Road Pirates today. I thought the first truck driver who Daisy stopped with her legs looked familiar. He was the strong looking guy who laid down beside her and crawled under her car to secure the muffler. They showed his name in the credits and it is Salt Walther. He lived from 1947 to 2012 and drove different classes of race cars. In 1973 he was involved in a horrific crash at the Indianapolis 500. I watched it on You Tube. It was nasty....so nasty in fact that it changed rules that made the Indy 500 more safe. My memory isn't that great but it seems like maybe we've talked about him before here on the HN. The wife and I were watching a Christmas movie and saw a girl who reminded me of someone who was on just one Dukes episode. I can picture her face really well but am trying to find out who she was. The only line of hers I can remember is an altered version of "Necessity is the mother of invention". She changed invention to "intervention". She was brunette and pretty and around Daisy's age. Any ideas?

It has been reported that Samuel E. Wright has just passed away. He was Enos's police partner in the TV series Enos. Unfortunately, Enos never came out on DVD so only us folks who were lucky enough to see the series when it originally aired know what a great duo Enos and Turk were. I didn't know this but he was also the voice of Sebastian on The Little Mermaid. He was 74 and will be missed.

Hi! Just registered, so go easy on me if this has been asked before, but does anyone know if an actress called Holly Wagner was in the Dukes? She's now an author/pastor, and may have appeared before she became "Wagner". A friend of mine who kind of knows her through his Church swears this lady was in the Dukes, but I can't find any leads! Coy and Vance were just doing what any actor who has the opportunity to be on a hit TV show would have done. they took the job they did not take john or tom's job, they were pawns of Warner bros. to cohere john and tom to come back to the show. it so happens that john and tom had a legit beef with warner bros. they were getting cheated in money due them on merchandising. as we all were. coy and Vance were brought on the show not to replace them that is impossible anyway but were brought on to make john and tom give into to warner' bros. demands. it was hard for the new guys as the fans resented their dressing and acting like john and tom they were just reading the scripts…

Earlier today I watched the Reunion movie Hazzard in Hollywood, I really liked seeing it again. For some reason I always find it better than Reunion 1, maybe because it's more like how they could be now instead of the same but 12 years later. Anyway, that's not why I make this topic. Sad news… Actor Dennis Burkley has passed away. He played Bubba in episode "Find Loretta Lynn" and Mickey Larsen in "Strange Visitor To Hazzard". He was also seen in several great 70's and 80's shows like Rockford Files, Greatest American Hero, The Fall Guy, and Knight Rider.
