DukesFan82 Posted March 2, 2006 Report Posted March 2, 2006 I found out that John's real birth of year is 1954, not 1960, right? I was confused that someone told me that he was born in 1954, some say 1960. Quote
Bo_Duke_girl Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 No, John is years younger than my dad. He was 18 when he started dukes and my dad had just turned 21. Quote
DukesFan82 Posted March 3, 2006 Report Posted March 3, 2006 Ohh, I gotcha now. I culcalted his show Dukes in '79 when he was 18 and his last year's age 45 is 1960, you're right. Quote
hazzard chic Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 I found out that John's real birth of year is 1954, not 1960, right? I was confused that someone told me that he was born in 1954, some say 1960. John was born in 1960. The reason for the confusion is because back in 1978 when John auditioned for the part of Bo Duke, he was only 18 and they wanted someone older. Therefore, John lied and said he was 24. John mentions this in the commentary to "One Armed Bandits" episode in season 1 of the DOH dvd sets. If he was 18 in '78 then he had to have been born in 1960.The difference between 24 and 18 is 6. The number of years between 1954 and 1960 is also 6. Therefore you can easily see where the confusion comes from and why both years have been listed as his birth year. Quote
