HossC
I missed this story at the end of last year, but luckily it was mentioned on the new series of 'The Grand Tour'. Here's a '68 Dodge Charger fitted with the 426 Hemi Hellephant crate motor similar to the one found in the Hellcat. As well as the 1,000-hp engine, there's a six-speed manual transmission, six-piston Brembo brakes and Hellcat wheels measuring 20 inches in front and 21 inches in back. More info here. There are several videos about the car, including this one:
Roth Potter
Don't remember where I've seen it. but it wasn't the Grand Tour. I don't have Amazon Prime. I love how they styled it. It looks so modern! Yet they somehow kept basically the whole old style of the car! The headlights on this car look the best in my opinion, just the way they shine through those bars. Did you see that the taillights are now the exhausts?

RogerDuke
Fantastic! Thanks for sharing this. I'd still put my money on the Duke boys in the General Lee on the dirt roads of Hazzard County. This car might be 1000 HP but the General is 2 DP (2 Duke Boy Powered) Hobie Hartkins and Roth Potter 1

The General was black before he was orange. I wonder if 'ol Cooter still has any of that orange paint left. Remember when Daisy said " I'll paint that flag. I just love that flag!" I bet we can talk her into doing another. Hobie Hartkins
Spike
I read about that beauty in Hot Rod Magazine. Not really a fan of the wheels though.

Does this mean that the Dukes invented "Orange Is the New Black"? Hobie Hartkins

RogerDuke
It doesn't matter what you are anymore. It matters what you identify as and that orange clunker car will always identify as a ridgerunning redneck racing rebel.
