The Tony Orlando & Dawn song charted in the US in '73, but '74 in the UK. Conversely, this song charted in '74 in the UK and '75 in the US.
September 26, 201114 yr I'll take it back a decade ... Apparently this version, that was a hit in the UK, didn't chart in the US. The was by The Drifters, and I see that Tony Orlando also covered it in his brief solo career (although I can't find a video of that one).

September 29, 201114 yr This lady isn't painted This song was written for, and featured in a couple of years ago. The picture of Eva Longoria (I hear she's in a popular TV show) is because she appeared in another commercial for a similar product (from the same company) around the same time. The similarity between this song and has been much commented upon. The worrying thing about my last post is that YouTube offered me a version by the cast of Glee - is nothing safe .

Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood, Ronnie Lane (replaced by Testu Yamauchi) , Ian McLagen , Kenny Jones were the ultilmate pure rock and roll band in the world. October 3, 201114 yr Love the song...wish I could have seen him in concert. He was the first country artist that I liked...my very first favorite song was his "Baby's Got her Blue Jeans On" I still love that song and have to turn it up when it comes on the radio - which it barely does anymore.
