"Luke, son, did you really find Bo?" Jesse asked, hugging him.

Luke nodded, smiling to his wise uncle.

"Yes sir...I know I did."

Jesse smiled, seeing how sure his nephew was.

"Where is he?"

"He's in the emergency room right now Sir... he had a few cracked ribs...I wanted t' get him here first."

Luke answered.

"I understand." Jesse said, proud of his oldest charge.

Luke nodded, offering his seat to his uncle as he took another seat by him. All they could do now was wait, and he prayed that Bo came out alright, that he didn't push him to hard. Luke prayed that his cousin would make it, Luke had waited twelve years to see him, worried over him, and he couldn't let him go right now. There was a part of him missing without Bo.

It was almost four hours later when a doctor finally came out with news on Bo. He looked around the waiting room, seeing a few families there. Clearing his throat, he spoke.

"Family of Beauregard Duke?" He called, looking for anyone to stand up.

Jesse looked up from where he sat. Standing up, he nodded slowly.

"Yes sir...that's us."

The doctor walked over to them, looking at his clipboard, then to the Dukes before speaking.

"We had to operate on your nephew to repair his broken ribs. One of the broken ribs did cut into the lung a bit, but fortunatly, it didn't collapse and we were able to repair it easily. We put in some steel pins and short curved rods in his ribs to help them heal properly. All in all, he's quite lucky. His injuries could've been much worse." He explained.

"And if you wish to visit him, he's in room 345. Third floor, five rooms down the right hand side of the nurse's station and on the left side of the hall."

Nodding to the doctor and thanking God above. Jesse was out the door following the doctor's directions to Bo's room. When Jesse slowly opened up the hospital door, he peeked inside. Seeing his nephew again after twelve years did his heart good. But, seeing him in under these circumstances, and those machines hooked up to him, also pained his heart. Walking in slowly, Jesse took off his red hunting cap out of respect, looking down at Bo.

Bo looked like he was asleep. His hospital gown was open and his ribs wrapped tightly, but not to tight that he couldn't breathe.

Just resting, Bo opened his eyes a little when he heard someone come inside. It took a moment for his vision to clear from the stronge painkillers he was on, but when he saw who his visitor was, he smiled a bit.

Jesse smiled, his white break crinkling.

"Hey there Bo..."

Jesse spoke softly, sitting down in the hospital chair beside him.

"Uncle...Jesse?" Bo asked tiredly.

"Yea, it's me son..."

Jesse replied softly, taking one of Bo's hands. He was shocked to see how much he'd grown, turned from a sugar high six year old into a fine young man.

Bo smiled a little, squeezing Jesse's hand a bit.

"M'sorry I ran away..." Bo said quietly.

Jesse chuckled lightly, shaking his head.

"It happened twelve years ago Bo...we've long forgave you for it...we missed you terribly.."

"My parents are probably worried..." Bo said, looking down.

The room fell silent for a moment. Jesse looked down at his youngest charge, his eyes searching the blonde's sky blue eyes for an answer.

"Bo...your parents?"

He asked perplexed.

"Uh huh. They live in Tennessee..." Bo replied.

Jesse shook his head, sighing sadly. He hate to tell Bo, it pained his insides.

"Bo...those aren't your biological parents, you know that right?"

Bo looked at him, confusion written all over his face.

Jesse sighed seeing his confusion.

"Bo...your real parents died in a car crash, along with Luke's and Daisy's..." he paused a minute to let out a breath of air he held.

"The people who took you in, who you claim is your parents, must have found you when you ran away from home.."

Bo frowned a little, not wanting to believe it.

"That's not true...they did raise me and they are my real parents."

Jesse shook his head sadly. Sighing, he looked down into Bo's eyes, his own eyes filling with pain and agony.

"Bo...no they aren't. I do have proof... I'm sorry..."

"No...my parents aren't dead..." Bo replied, getting upset.
