Dave
The movie comes out in March, so we'll find out for sure: http://www.dvdactive.com/news/releases/dukes-of-hazzard-the-beginning.htmlI'm still looking forward to it, but I like many others wish they would make a movie more true to the original show.. Kelly Davenport
Is it me, or is anybody rolling their eyes at the cover that shows the Boar's Nest serving cocktails. Last time I checked, the Boar's Nest never served cocktails, but then again, last time I checked, Hollywood used to make good movies at one point, too. What the hell, right? They take liberties with everything else, why not have cocktails at the Boar's Nest. Let's throw in margaritas and other mixed drinks as well. Who wants beer and whiskey in Hazzard anyway. B.L. Davenport
Never seen the Boar's Nest serve martini's and stuff like that but they did serve mint Julips, saw Boss changing the sign raising the prices on them.
Kelly Davenport
Ah, okay, then. Thank, B. Still think beer and whiskey should be the only stuff at the Boar's Nest. Other stuff seems a little sissified, if ya ask me.
Divia
You're starting to sound like whats his nuts. It's only some drinks. I don't see what the big deal is.
Kelly Davenport
Please don't insult me because I'm voicing my opinion in a calm fashion. I am simply saying that the Boar's Nest is a bar that served beer and whiskey (and the occasional mint julip). Why make it any different? That's all I'm asking, and I think it's dumb to change it. Last time I checked, it was still legal to voice ones opinions.
Divia
never said you couldnt voice your opinion. Just said you are starting to sound like whats his name who constiantly picks at every little detail. Oh, and thats my opinion on the matter. Just as you have yours. Kelly Davenport
Actually, I believe this is the first detail I've picked on, so please don't assume anything about me. I don't assume anything about anyone until after I get to know them better, and I would appreciate the same respect.
Divia
I just wondered what the big deal was. So....Why does my opinion matter so greatly? It shouldnt. Afterall, this is just a mesage board. I made no assumptions...just compairing notes...said you sounded like whats his name. No biggie. Dave
I agree that I could care less what drinks are served.. Everyone is however, entitled to their own opinion, so there's no big deal.. We all come together in a msg forum to discuss our likes/dislikes, but that doesn't mean someone has to like the same thing as you or whatever.. We should all stay on topic though, so........ matt duke
i love the fact that they find the general lee in a lake. they tow it out and restore it. i think it beats the whole "happy birthday general lee" story.

Julieduke
does anyone know how one judges if DVD sales are good? I mean this is a direct to DVD, so I was wondering. If it does well Im sure there could be others. That would be an interesting twist.I was found out something does anybody have the soundtrack to the first movie is so then you've heard the song "Black Betty" Well it hard to understand the song on the soundtrack. Well I found out that it was first done by Tom Jones and you can actually understand his version. www.TomJones.com if you want to check out his website. dukefan
I already have the movie,"The Dukes Of Hazzard" the beginning, and I thaught it was way better then the movie, at least the duke boys were clean shaven, and April Scott was the perfect new Daisy.
