Hi folks,

The colour of the General Lee was cool, no doubt. But, what would have been the next best colour?

I'd vote for blue or navy blue.

My choices are black ala ep #95 A Little Game Of Pool

and dark green ala ep #36 Southern Cumforts.

i rekon the general would look cool with the ace of spades (black jacks old car) paint job - white body with black lightning coming from the front & along thesides with an ace of spades on the hood

The General Lee should be black and red .the body would be black with red markings .then have the flag design on the top.

I once saw a '69 Charger in Black Cherry. That would've been a great color for the General Lee.

I think the General would look good in that "Illusion" paint. No matter what angle you look at it, it is a differant colour. I always liked that paint.

As for the Black Cherry, I would think it won't really show up too well on the TV screen. But it would be cool if you saw it up close in person.

I also thought of this custom paint job I once saw on a Corvette. It was black with this flame job that changed color in the sunlight and at different angles. It looked awesome while turning a corner!!! But, I also think it might be too much to look at.

I would love to see the General in a royal blue color. I think the General needs a color that it make it stand out. This a tough question.....

U deffinatly can't beat the ORANGE!!!!!!!! It looks sooooo kewl that color with the 01 the rebel flag and the general dacals on it but if it was a different color i think a bright color would be good because if it was a darker or normal color it wouldnt stand out.

There's black, yellow, Plum Crazy, Go Green, Pink Panther, blue.

The only one I like is black because the General used to be that color. Although I have to admit, dark blue looks sharp.

You can get a 1:18 model of the black one, although only just over 1000 were made (I've posted this in another thread in the General Lee section):

I think Daisy would go for the yellow one as she commented on the color being her favorite when she won the Mustang in 'No More Mr. Nice Guy'.

Those Pink Panther/Moulin Rouge Mopars are quite striking, but I'm not sure I can see Bo and Luke being happy driving one .

If you remember from "Happy Birthday General Lee" they painted it that color because that's the only paint Cooter had in stock.

The black looks pretty sharp, so IF I had to chose, it'd be black. But I'd much rather have the orange. It'd just be wrong to have a General Lee any other color than orange.

If Frankie had won her bet with Bo in 'Luke's Love Story', she was going to paint the General pink.

Also, the General got painted green in "Southern Comfurts."

It got painted black (it's original color) in "A Little Game of Pool."

It got turned into a 4-wheel drive on "Arrest Jesse Duke."
