Skipper Duke Posted September 25, 2025 Posted September 25, 2025 Did you know there's 2 ways of making Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. 1. Butter 2. Mayonnaise I like both ways. Mayonnaise cooks faster. With Mayonnaise I never have to readjust my sandwiches on the heat. Butter I have to move them around to toast evenly. RogerDuke 1 Quote
Tom Duke Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 I’ve never tried them with mayonnaise before but suppose there’s a first time for everything, talkin bout cuisine kinda got me to thinkin, wonder what Boss’s raw liver and black coffee tasted like. RogerDuke and Skipper Duke 2 Quote

RogerDuke Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 Ain't no better way to start the day than a raw liver breakfast with a tall glass of buttermilk. Hobie Hartkins and Skipper Duke 1 1 Quote

Like I wanna so I could say I did but I think I'll stick to buttermilk and popcorn oh my. Sorrell Booke (Boss Hogg) confessed it's awful. In an interview he said "I asked the prop man what's going to be used for the raw liver? He said he looked around, and the only thing he could find that looked like raw liver was raw liver. They put a plate of it down in front of me, and I said "What the hell. It can't kill you. But I'll tell you, it sure tastes sickening." 😂 Edited 45 minutes ago by Skipper Duke RogerDuke and Road Pirate 1 1 Quote
RogerDuke Posted 43 minutes ago Posted 43 minutes ago A lot of old timers used to eat raw hamburger. I remember my grandma making meatballs and occasionally snacking on a pinch of it. Eating raw liver was more common in the old days than today of course but I don't remember anybody in my family doing it. Quote
