I mentioned how the title of his Dukes episode parodied the title of the movie when I posted a screengrab of Robert from his 1965 movie 'The Loved One' - you can see it here. Skipper Duke 1 Quote

Skipper Duke Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago Did you know? Byron Cherry, the talented actor who played Coy Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard, had an interesting background before joining the show. Not only was he a bartender, but he also worked as a male flight attendant! ย What's even more fascinating is that Byron initially auditioned for the role of Bo Duke in 1978, but due to his busy schedule, he couldn't pursue it further. The part eventually went to John Schneider, who would become iconic as Bo Duke. ย However, fate had other plans. When Tom Wopat (Luke) and John Schneider (Bo) temporarily left the show, John Schneider himself recommended Byron Cherry for the role of Coy Duke to Warner Brothers! Talk about a full circle moment! ย Let's appreciate Byron Cherry's multifaceted career and his contribution to the Duke family legacy! #DukesOfHazzard #ByronCherry #CoyDuke Quote
