  3. I think I'd keep the Maserati no matter the color, someone that owns a local bread shop has a sedan and that ferrari v8 sounds so sweet when it goes by. It looks like today is the last day I'll wear shorts as tomorrow it's supposed to be 50 degrees if it even reaches that. At least we aren't getting the blizzard/snow storm that hit Colorado and some of the plains states. Hopefully we won't get a frost for a few weeks, still got a few tomato's that need to grow before picking.

Nascar has been trying to "cut costs" for decades, the reason for the quotation is some of the rules they say are related to cutting costs have nothing to do cutting costs. Official Tyler Reddick to drive the #8 RCR Chevy for 2020 https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2019/10/02/tyler-reddick-to-drive-richard-childress-racings-no-8-cup-car-next-year/ 2020 Cup Rules https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2019/10/01/2020-nascar-rules-will-reduce-cup-road-crew-members-at-track/ some highlights: Each car number will be permitted to have a maximum of 12 certified chassis at any given time. In addition, each organization will be permitted to have a maximum of 10 unique chassis designs. With the rule that teams will be allowed a maximum of 12 certified chassis, a team only will be permitted to retire and replace a chassis with a different one when: The chassis has incurred damages during a race incident and the damage is determined by NASCAR to be significant enough to warrant replacement The chassis has been used as the primary vehicle (meaning it has taken the green flag to start the race) at a minimum three events by the same organization during the 2020 season The chassis has incurred damage due to a race incident but has exhausted its major repairs and cannot be updated to either its original or any of the remaining declared designs. Teams must compete in a minimum of eight events with a long block sealed engine and at least eight with a short block sealed engine (this year teams had to run three long block sealed engines and 12 short block sealed engines.) Organizations will be permitted a total of 150 wind tunnel testing hours per calendar year.
  7. Thought we were done with the BS with the neighbor and his buddy after the sentencing at court but nope guess not. Apparently they don't give a about the Not Within 500 feet court order. Was sitting outside on our front step yesterday afternoon scraping seeds out of one of the sunflowers when the neighbor comes home and guess who's with him, his troublemaking buddy who we had arrested after he threatened us. The neighbor seen me and told his buddy just to stay in the car and he went into his apartment for a few minutes then came out and they left again. I pondered calling 911 but by the time the police would have gotten here they would have been long gone. Too bad he didn't get out of the car as then he would have a nice picture to hang from his cell wall from my new Trail camera. This isn't the 1st time he's been around either. Neighbor snuck him in on Labor Day, we only found out when they got into a fight but the police officer that came out then told us since the neighbor refused to open the door it's our word against his but he also told us if we can get photographic proof that he's here then he can get a warrant and go in and arrest him so that's one of the reasons we bought the trail camera. Last week I talked too the manager at the neighboring complex as she has had issues with these two as well and has been pushing for our complex's manager to get them out but that obviously isn't happening. She told me that I should get my wife a gun and some ccw training because she thinks the guy's dangerous from some of the stuff she's seen him do and heard about from her residents. Told the wife that and she's all for it but it will have to wait till we set aside some money till then she's carrying her mace and a pocket knife every time she leaves.

  9. All I can say is do a quick google search but it is definitely NSFW, apparently she does have at least one fully nude pic on the internet though it might be photoshopped as it is a bit blurry and looks like it is scanned out of an old magazine.

You got that right Hoss You can count on at least seeing either a viagra or cialis commercial almost every commercial break . If the race is on NBC or Fox I'll usually change the channel during the commercials. If anybody missed the race yesterday I recommend you at least watch the last stage when Nascar posts the full race next Sunday on Youtube. Chase Elliot was on fire, what a run to come from all the way in the back to win the race after hitting the tire barrier.

Busy week in Silly Season news... Surprise Surprise Christopher Bell to drive the #95 LFR Toyota for 2020 https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2019/09/24/its-official-christopher-bell-to-drive-no-95-cup-car-in-2020/ and it looks like instead of getting 2nd Rate year old Gibbs equipment that Gibbs will now give them current equipment for their new star driver. This came way out of left field... Ricky Stenhouse jr out at Roush Fenway Racing #17 even though his contract was thru 2021 and Chris Buescher will take over that seat for 2020 https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2019/09/25/ricky-stenhouse-jr-out-at-roush-next-year-chris-buescher-in-no-17/ https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2019/09/25/silly-season-scorecard-shakeup-at-roush-fenway-racing/ There's also going to be a Penske driver swap at the Charlotte Roval from what I read in a story about Josef Newgarden yesterday but I can't seem to find the link today, he will run a few laps in his Indycar and then a few in Joey Logano's Cup car and I guess Logano will take a few in Josef's Indycar. It's supposed to happen after Cup Qualifying today, not sure if it will be televised on NBCSN though.

Nascar doesn't allow much testing other than during Practices for races. Teams used to be able to test throughout the year but Nascar said that was a disadvantage to underfunded teams so caps testing to just a few real world tests and most of those are goodyear tire tests now. Drivers can do unlimited sim testing though. Gibbs team dominated Richmond last night bit I'm shocked Nascar only DQ'd one of their cars after the race. Something was definitely up the way that all 4 of them just drove away from the rest of the field.
  14. Den Delirious was a hilarious movie, I think it's one of John Candy's best.
  15. Thought I avoided the Poison ivy but apparently I didn't when I was pulling some weeds and cutting down some invasive bushes at a lady's house that I mow for. Itchiness doesn't really bother me but dang my arms sure did blister from it.

Daniel Hemric is out of the #8 RCR Chevy to make room for Tyler Reddick for 2020 https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2019/09/17/daniel-hemric-not-returning-to-richard-childress-racings-no-8-car-next-year/. Personally I don't think he will do much better next season than Hemric did this season.Dale Jr said on one of his recent podcast's that the Xfinity cars drive so much different than the current cup cars that all the rookies moving up will struggle for at least a season just to get used to the lower power and more downforce.

Will be interesting rest of Silly Season as rumor has it SHR and Ford want to move Cole Custer up to cup but there are no empty seats at SHR yet and the only Ford seat available is the one David Ragan is vacating in the #38. Would be interesting if they aligned with SHR for even a year with Cole Custer.
  18. Thanks I needed a good laugh Roger Wish Car company's would just stick to the K.I.S.S. principle when it comes to vehicles. I looked under the hood of the wife's car to check the fluids yesterday and man I tell ya you can't do anything other than change the air filter and add fluids. Everything is on top of everything else. The mechanic probably had to take half the dang hoses and crap just to get to the upper radiator hose and you can't even see where that goes into the radiator without removing the air filter hose and box. Wouldn't surprise me if the wife comes home today proclaiming she's selling it because this morning when she started it up it was loud so it looks like another trip to the muffler shop in the morning.
  19. Well yesterday was fun Wife and I were going to the local Farmers Market only to pull into the parking lot and see steam coming from under the hood. Hose clamp broke and upper radiator hose bursted and left a few gallons of coolant under the car. So in the past 7 days we've spent over another $200 in car repairs and towing on the wife's car, last week it was the exhaust flange that broke. Luckily the tow truck driver gave us a ride home yesterday. Figures we just started putting money back into savings after paying down some bills only to empty it all again .

  22. I forgot to put the oil cap on my car once, didn't notice it till the oil burning dodge I was behind finally turned off and I still noticed the oil burning smell so I pulled off to the side of the road and popped the hood to find the cap still sitting next to the hood latch Not sure why the hood was able to close with the cap right there. The only reason I'm worried about my dads car is the Cruze has a weird PCV system that has to always stay under pressure. At least GM is backing up their cars nowadays though, he got a letter from them last week alerting him to a possible issue and they extended the warranty on the part that could possibly fail. Only thing we noticed after putting the new cap on is there was a lot of blue smoke for about the first minute but it hasn't done that since so I guess that was just some excess oil burnoff from the pressure not being correct with the cap off. That sunflower is the tallest one I've ever grown. Here's some pics of my garden Sunflower https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48667116998_c8da0541a0_b.jpg Sunflower https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48667118883_29810afbf0_b.jpg Butterfly on Mint https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48667118398_4b253e4b81_b.jpg the big leaves on the left are the 12 foot Sunflower Lillies at my other garden at my dad's https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48667465631_8650e1eb3f_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48667466476_6353e4d880_b.jpg Asian Lillies in pot on my patio https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48667620762_16a3bce615_b.jpg Prickly Pear Cactus blooming https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48667121723_e9a4dccaa2_b.jpg I'm waiting for the Asters to bloom which are really late this year but the plants have gotten 5 foot tall so far, I'll take some pics and upload those soon. I picked a bunch of tomato's the other day and a few cucumbers, Pumpkins have become bee magnets so will probably have a bunch of those soon. Enjoy the rest of Labor day guys

That wreck could have been so much worse, thank god everyone escaped with only minor bruises. Here's the Retro paint schemes to be run this weekend at Darlington https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2019/08/28/retro-rundown-2019-southern-500-paint-schemes-3/ Some good looking schemes this year, even a few movie ones. Remember you can watch the Xfinity Darlington race Saturday @ 4pm est on NBC but the Southern 500 is once again on NBCSN

  25. Those are some neat cars. You'd think with the Sterling they would have used a different windshield than one that looks like it came from a truck or van. The annual british car show we have here there's usually a few MGB's towing the back half MGB trailers. Haven't been to a car show yet this year, they've either got canceled due to weather or I've been catching up on work due to the weather. I spent the morning finding an oil cap for my dads car since he forgot to put it back on when he topped the oil off this morning. Surprisingly I had to call a few GM dealerships before I found one that had the cap in stock. I just hope he didn't do any major damage to the engine since he drove it till he got back home instead of pulling off somewhere knowing something was wrong with it since it was acting like it was going to stall and smoke was coming from under the hood. Wife said we need to move to Alaska or Hawaii that way our parents can't keep bugging us with every little thing . Don't get me wrong we love them but every time something goes wrong with a car or this or that we're always the ones to drop our plans and come to the rescue. Tallest sunflower finally bloomed, dang thing is 12 feet tall, think I'm going to need to borrow a ladder to get the head off when the seeds are ready.
