  1. Hey SteveD! Welcome to HNet! I approved your other posts too so you should see those finally showing. LOL. Being the Coltrane I am I thought "well, I can see 'em, so everyone else can probably see 'em and the posts are fine so I don't gotta do nothin'..." Yeah right. ROFL. I could see 'em but no one else could! *smacks forehead* This technology is too much sometimes. Khee! So anyway, welcome to HNet! You're definitely in good company here. MaryAnne
  2. Awright! I finally get a day off! Woohoo!! Happy Birthday cousin! And here's to many more! Khee!
  3. Good luck with what? Finishing my story or hoping we get more than three enteries in this challenge? LOL
  4. Khee! I thought that too and was already to yap about that movie. I love that one and the Support Your Local Gunfighter one too. ROFL
  5. This is a new field in our sign up process. If your friend really tried every letter, then they should've hit it. If your friend is a fan of the show, they would've known what letter to put in on the first try. Read the question it's asking again and I think you'll figure it out.
  6. AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thought that would set a nice mood heah. ROFL I'm on like page 9 or something with my story. Muses are cooperatin' for the most part. LOL. But, yeah I'm lookin' at the calendar and thinkin' "ahh...crap. I got about 18 days to go....eek, gah. Ack. Jit." For the record, since Brian asked, we've received three stories so far. But, as noted above we got 18 days to go. A lot can happen in 18 days.
  7. Nice! I like the second pic where you can see some of the kids in the marching band there looking at the General. Khee!
  8. John, Cathy and the General Lee are scheduled to be at the Chiller Theatre Expo in New Jersey, October 24-26 along with a TON of other stars (including Burt Reynolds, Robert Culp, Angie Dickinson, Linda Evans, holy bleep just waaaay too many to list here). Check it out! http://www.chillertheatre.com/main.htm
  9. Hey y'all, just wanted to let ya know that we'll be conducting maintenance on our forums tonight between 7pm and 10pm Pacific time (10pm - 1am Eastern). So the forums will be unavailable during that time. Thank y'all for your patience and you'll know as soon as we're back up and running again. This maintenance should help cut down on the recent rash of spam we've had lately. Thank y'all for your patience and we'll resume our usual shenanigans shortly. Khee!
  10. I also wanna join in giving kudos to y'all that have kept an eye on the place and alerted us to issues. RogerDuke has ree-ported to me a couple of times via PM so a sa-lute to him and all y'all! Hazzard folks watch for each other!
  11. A dictionary! That ain't half bad an idea. What words do you need defintions for?
  12. Yep. The episode "Daisy's Song" also has a line from the balladeer that explains it a little too. I think he says something like "You're probably wondering why they climb through the windows like that. Well it's because the doors on a race car are welded shut. Pretty slick huh?" Or something to that effect. LOL
  13. If you're watching the first five episodes, those were filmed in Covington, GA. Parts of Conyers I believe were used as well. After the first five, the town of Hazzard was on the backlot of Warner Brothers in California.
  14. I'm not aware it's available for download but it is on DVD, packaged with the second reunion movie "Hazzard in Hollywood." It was released earlier this summer.
  15. Yes, he really ate that raw liver for that scene. Blech!! ROFL
  16. There's that episode and there's also a "kinda-sorta" night time driving scene in the beginning of "Double Sting."
  17. Ok, how much cheesecake do I have to buy to get y'all to stop fightin'?
  18. Yeah, you can do that too Val. LOL. Awright, just to make things o-fficial here and give y'all an idea of how to state your intentions.... I, MaryAnne Coltrane, hereby declare that I will attempt to complete a Halloween story and have it submitted by midnight, October 28th, 2008. If I fail to complete a story I understand that I will become a ghost and will be subjected to the requirements of being a ghost as set forth in this challenge.
  19. Halloween's comin' up and we're looking for a few good stories! Write a Halloween-themed Dukes of Hazzard story and submit it by October 28th 2008, or become a ghost! Here's how it works. Announce your intentions here in this thread that you're going to write a Halloween story (or finish one if you've got one in the works) and have it in by midnight, October 28th, 2008 (US Pacific time. Although we have fans all around the world now so we'll take into consideration time differences.) Submit your stories to me at maryacltrn "at" yahoo.com. Please put Ghost Post Challenge in your subject line. Stories will be posted at DOHFF. If you announce you're gonna write a story and then fail to make the deadline, you'll become a ghost for a "spell." Heh heh. Those who miss the deadline and become spookified will have to post here at HNet in italics, and will also have a special avatar for the duration of their outta body experience. Their "ghostly" existence will last for two weeks. We're also thinking that they'll be subject to "summoning", and if invoked to respond on a particular thread or topic, that they'll be obligated to "appear" and put a comment. Or you can avoid this fate by completing a story and having it in by midnight of October 28th. Like Brian pointed out in another thread, we're not exactly looking for the slasher/hack 'em up type stories but "spooky stuff, creepy stuff, or Halloween-themed shenanigans are fine. This could be one of those times where the ol' dream sequence scenario comes in handy." So there you have it! The Ghost Post Challenge! Let's all have a spook-tacular time! MaryAnne
  20. Khee! That sounds tasty! Comin' right up! Khee!
  21. Easy y'all! LOL. Look, I got more cheesecake!
  22. Nope, you should see who gave you the comment if they put a comment. Otherwise, if they just gave a positive or negative rep on a post then you would just see that they gave the positive or negative. Of course, I should check that myself by logging in under my Jack id, which is a non-moderator/admin ID so I knows I'm tellin' the truth. Hopefully. ROFL. Of course, I'll have to give the Lieutenant a positive or negative rep thing first to check it. (Brian - no comment from you! ROFL)
  23. Hey, Lori "is on a distinguished road." Just as long as she remembers who put her on that road. KHEE!
  24. I believe, when you go and click on User CP to look at and make changes to your profile, you should see a box on the right that says "Latest Reputation Received." To make sure something shows up I went and gave you an positive reputation on a post in this thread so you should see that I gave you a good rep. I didn't put a comment but people can put comments when they approve or disapprove of a post.
  25. As Brian pointed out I just made it difficult for him to enjoy the freedom of movement. Heh!
