(beer? That surprises me. I figured you'd be leaving old Saint Nick a bit of Hobie's Finest.)

If you think about it every day is a holiday because every day is unique. That's why I tip a glass of buttermilk every evening just like Enos.

Yes but on the days that we're not having a holiday you need a sip to cheer you up. I see a trend here...LOL

LOL Hobie is always looking for a reason to take a sip or two. Now that he knows MM is safe he might even have three to celebrate!

I have been online for 24 years. Net neutrality rules have only been in place in the US since 2015. Attempts by ISPs to throttle or otherwise mess with their customers' online experience over the years have been met with lawsuits and the government has generally sided with customers. Since 2015, I've noticed less competition (i.e. there are fewer options for internet in many areas). People I know in rural areas have actually lost home internet access and have to drive a half hour into town or more to use libraries or free wifi at local businesses. I don't think you have a lot to worry about.
In other words, the Internet did just fine for the 46 years before net neutrality rules were in place. I think it'll be fine with the rollback.

Merry Christmas everybody. Does anybody have any special plans? I don't.......just mostly stay home with a little time traveling short distances to visit family.

Pinky ...haven't seen that cartoon in years
Roundabouts are great as long as people know how to use them and always yield to the car on the left here in the 'states.

Despite the overpopulation problems, hunters in Pennsylvania are still only permitted to get one deer or two if they buy an extra permit. That is going to have to change since there are so few hunters in the woods anymore. Today, two days after the season ended I came inches from hitting one. Luckily I haven't hit one in a few years but I know people who seem to have vehicles that are deer magnets and every once in a while you hear about people getting killed when hitting them. I guess enough people haven't been killed yet before the game commission decides there are too many deer and allows hunters to get more than one or two.

Today I did something I'd never done before in my life. I closed my eyes and imagined Hoss at choir practice. It wasn't an easy thing to do because I have no idea what Hoss looks like but that made it more challenging and I love a good challenge. In my imagination Hoss is the one in the front row wearing a General Lee shirt and an orange 01 hat...looking good Hoss! I hope you sing Silent Night like the Dukes did.

There none that I know of where they drive to a racetrack. the most familiar one sound like Season 7 Episode 6 'The Dukes in Hollywood'. The scene starting at 17:20 where they drive into the studio. Bo is driving with daisy and Luke Next to him. Boss, Rosco & Flash are in the back and the guard asks who is sitting in the back to which Luke replies with 'Thats J. D. Hood and Rosco Coltrane'. Then rosco repliad with his P.

You were right about your quote Hoss from the old timer selling it but I was right also.....as mentioned in this previous post. I want to thank you for something. Since 1979 I had never noticed that the car from Repo Men was a Charger. I have it on pause in my DVD player as I type this, amazed that I never knew that. I guess I just didn't pay attention and since the grill and headlights were missing I can see how. This isn't the first time I have missed the obvious. I never would have made a good detective because I also miss small details. This was a pretty big detail to miss though.Thank you so much for mentioning that. You are greatly appreciated.

The funny thing is the engine they showed in Richard Petty's car(LEE 1) in Repo Men wasn't in the actual car. It was a big block Chevy with a blower on top. The blower would sit too high and stick through the hood. Besides motors with blowers are a drag race motor so Richard Petty never would have used one.

I think that episode is the only time they did use the word Charger. It was when the boys first laid eyes on the black 1969 car and Waylon said something like "that old wreck of a Charger"
Does anybody remember what model the old Richard Petty race car was?

Roundabout
There's a roundabout (or traffic circle as I believe they're known in the US) called Charlie Brown's Roundabout in northeast London. It got its name from a nearby pub which was demolished in 1972. The landlord of the pub and his father before him were both called Charlie Brown.

Hobie Hartkins reacted to Boss JD Hogg in Another 'Orange Clunker Car' - MPC Snap Kit General Lee - FINISHED
From what I heard when MPC originally released the 1/25 General Lee they couldn't find the correct 1969 hood and interior bucket. It was released with a 1970 hood and a stock car interior bucket.
When MPC released the Charger 500 kit they found the correct 1969 hood. The 1969 hood tooling was misplaced again so the General Lee kept the 1970 hood.

When I built my MPC glue kit General Lee I located a 1969 hood from a Charger 500.
Here's my MPC glue kit General Lee I built last year with the 1969 hood and correct interior.IMG_7579 Small by Michael Scarola, on Flickr
