  1. Hobie, could you please just post the videos rather than links to Bing searches? I'm sure I'm not the only one who's much more likely to hit play on a video than click on a mysterious long URL.
  2. Little Cousin came in a UFO. Close. It was Mr. & Mrs Tewilliger.

  4. Diamond In the M*A*S*H episode 'Rainbow Bridge', Hawkeye and Trapper are off to Tokyo and get a shopping list that includes a training bra (for Klinger). Father Mulcahy says, "Understandably, there's some gaps in my education. What exactly is a training bra?" Hawkeye replies, "Just like an ordinary one, only it has two little wheels in back." 😀
  5. NASHVILLE Mentioned in many episodes.

I only came across this artist earlier this week, but I immediately liked the honesty and openness of the lyrics, and she's got a great voice. I've picked a live version as the official video contains a lot of swearing. This is from last night's Graham Norton Show in the UK where Cyndi Lauper seemed to be a fan, but she was on Jimmy Fallon just over a week ago in the US. Lola Young - Messy
  8. Harvey S. LAIDMAN Directed three episodes of Dukes. He sadly passed away at the beginning of the year.

  11. I've just found that episode online and watched it. Compared to shows that came only a couple of years later, it looks so dated. I knew I recognized the bad guy Brother Love (Eddie Albert) from somewhere, and looking through his filmography, I realized it was the feature length pilot of 'The Fall Guy'. He played Big John Cramer, a corrupt Arizona sheriff who knocks a boy off his bike in Hollywood and then jumps bail when he's told that the boy has died. The episode also had a couple of familiar faces from Dukes. Kathrine Baumann, one of the car strippers from 'Arrest Jesse Duke', had a bit part as a woman who Colt and Howie question briefly, and Dennis Fimple, the preacher from 'Daisy's Shotgun Wedding', played the lead deputy.

  16. Although the strongest of the high winds appear to have gone, we're not out of the woods yet. Our part of town had another power cut last night, this time lasting just over seven hours. Mind you, I can't really complain as over 200,000 properties have been without power since Friday and it might be several more days before some get it back. The electric company is even shipping in crews from the UK, France and the Netherlands to get things moving again. We got away lightly where I live!
  17. Boss was always trying to collect illegal taXes. As we used to say: "I'm not under the affluence of incohol that thinkle peep I am. It's just the drunker I stay here, the longer I get!"
  18. This one does mention a bible: The thief who stole my diary and my Bible died today. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
  19. Roger TORREY Appeared in 4 episodes of Dukes, and was apparently the original choice to play Jethro Bodine on 'The Beverly Hillbillies' (he still appeared in 12 episodes as a different character).

  21. Ireland's highest ever wind was recorded last night at 183km/h (114mph), beating the previous record of 182km/h set in 1945. Miraculously, despite all the damage, I've only seen one reported death - a driver was killed early this morning when a tree fell on his car in Co. Donegal. I think we're in for a cold and wet weekend, but the worst has gone where I live. There are still a lot of people with power, and some without water.
  22. I lost power during the night and it's just come back (about 5 hours). They're saying that over 700,000 homes and businesses are without power in Ireland. Other than that, only one fence panel down. I'm heading out soon.
  23. The new Hughes fire is just north of Santa Clarita. It's only a couple of miles from Castaic Junction and Six Flags Magic Mountain, both of which were used as Dukes filming locations.
