GLG and MaryAnne were right there. Daisy lit the cannon with a flaming big torch, or should that be a big flaming torch
.
Q. While we're on 'Luke's Love Story', Luke's views on women led Amy to suggest that in Hazzard they probably put chastity belts on women, bind their feet, and make them shuffle ten paces behind. What reason did Luke give for no longer binding their feet?.

It is both an honor and a privilege to win the accolade of 'Fan of the Month'.
Thanks to all the people who have made me feel so welcome since joining, and to the moderators for maintaining this marvelous site.
I should also like to thank the global banking community whose financial mismanagement resulted in a reduction in my working hours, thereby giving me more time to spend here
.
The only downside of being a member is that I've started spelling words the US way (see honor and marvelous in this post alone!), but I'm sure I'll get over it.
Go raibh mÃle maith agat (thank you very much in Irish).

(GLG - I think that's the second time this week that we posted at exactly the same time - your's appears later, so I follow that

(posting the YouTube link is a neat idea. Gives us a chance to sample some of these songs we don't know. Now, having said that, I did neglected to get the YouTube link for my answer. LOL)
Never mind MaryAnne, we are strong, no one can tell we're wrong

Very sad. The news over here has been so concentrated on the passing of Tony Curtis that I hadn't heard about Stephen J Cannell. I tried to find an interview with him that appeared on a 2005 Channel 4 show called 'Bring Back The A-Team' - it was all on YouTube, but seems to have been deleted. Most of the interview is here:
WARNING - contains some mild bad language, and worse in the comments - why can't people comment on YouTube politely?.
If anyone's interested, the whole show is available in 4 parts at the link below - Stephen's part is split over the end of part 3/start of part 4:

Click on the Partie/Part 2 under the video to see the next part.

Hoss, what do you mean by how did the obstacle race start? Are you looking for a specific even that happened?
Sorry if that was ambiguous - how did the drivers know that it was time to go? - hope that's clearer.

Really Hoss!?! No ice cream! How about cookies??
OK, seeing as you and BL got it right, I'll spring for cookies and a buttermilk at the Boars Nest.
Q. In 'Luke's Love Story', how is the obstacle race started?.

... if you like Trans-Am's, senseless car chases, shallow plots, brawling, goofy cops, explosions, and complete overkill in an ending, you'll enjoy this movie.
Doesn't sound like my kind of movie, Brian. Where can I get a copy

Kiss Me Honey Honey Kiss Me - (Dame) Shirley Bassey
I thought it might be fun to post links to the songs if I can find them. Obviously this isn't always possible - what do y'all think?

These are hard questions Hoss C!!!
I can never tell what people know, and what they don't. I've asked questions before that I thought were obscure, and had the right answer posted 10 minutes later
.
Me too... I think Hoss C said something about giving us ice cream Rog...Sorry GLG, you misheard - I said the next question will make YOU scream
.
OK - I'll make it multiple choice - 2 of these are right, the others are from Baskin-Robbins' website:
Very Berry Strawberry
Butter Brickle Crunch
Old Fashioned Butter Pecan
Pistachio Almond
Double Peanut Dooley
Rainbow Sherbet
Caramel Praline Cheesecake
Before you get too hungry, maybe y'all would fancy one of British chef Heston Blumenthal's signature desserts -
. If that whets your appetite, do a search for 'Heston's Feasts' - he's created some amazing dishes. -

It's great to see that y'all have fond memories of Mr. Jones, points all 'round.
Awright, lessee... it's Mr. Jones, I presume. Looks like he applied here for a moderator position back in 2001. Wonder who got his job....Brian, don't feel too bad for Mr. Jones. I hear Warner Bros re-hired him in 2005. Apparently he wrote the screenplay for a movie based on a popular TV series - did anyone see it?.
Q. In 'Swamp Molly', Cooter's paint job is so convincing that Enos thinks Luke is driving a real ice cream truck. After some initial indecisiveness, what are the 2 flavors that Enos eventually chooses between?.
