I can understand why there are some complaints. The same issues keep coming up year after year and some folks get frustrated that they haven't been taken care of. One of the reasons the same issues keep coming up, however, is that DukesFest is growing exponentially and it's hard to anticipate how huge it's going to be. Yes, a lot of work needs to be done. But there are just some things that can't be fixed... unless, of course, we clone the cast members so they can sign more autographs. (Not a bad idea!) LOL. There's only so many folks that 7 cast members can meet and sign for in a day. I do believe that they should try harder for the car owners. They go to much more expense than most of the other fans. But signing every car is also kind of unrealistic. That would probably take a whole day in itself. Like I said, some problems are next to impossible to solve. You'll never do it all in one DukesFest. All I can say is, if you go to DukesFest next year, set your priorities on who is the most important to meet and what's most important to see. Get there early and be prepared to wait.

Well, I'd have to say another good thing about DukesFest was meeting HazzardNet members. There were some familiar faces and some new. I wish I could've spent more time with you guys. That's part of the reason I was so grumpy. I wanted to see the concert and stunt show with my fellow HNetters. Maybe we should all show up at Brian's house sometime and have a HazzardNet get-together. Muahahahaha...

Hey now, you can't blame the Deputy when the lock broke on this place. She's not a locksmith, ya know. LOL. Tho', she does know her way around a lock pick... The door was just barricaded for a few days until we got an expert in to secure the premises. =) And I accept SOMEONE'S apology. =) -M

Except for the air conditioned building for the autograph lines and real restrooms, I thought last year's DukesFest was better. I might have a different opinion, however, if I had gotten to see the show on Saturday night or gotten decent seats at the stunt show on Sunday. That might've happened if SOMEONE had contacted me like they said they would after the autograph lines were done. Instead, I waited around at Jimmie's line both days until he left and Cathy was the last one left in the building. The only saving grace to this trip was that I met a great couple that I had a good time with and got to spend some time with some old friends (that incidentally I had met EXACTLY 10 years ago on June 5). I don't think I'll be back next year.

ROFLMAO. I think you just wrote HNet's new theme song! Perhaps I'll create a new section for fan poetry and prose about HNet itself. Khee!

What lyrics (doesn't have to be whole songs) remind you of characters or events in Hazzard County? ------------------------------------------- One day I looked into my rear view mirror And comin' up from behind There was a Georgia State policeman And a hundred dollar fine He looked me in the eye as he was writin' me up He said "Driver, you been flyin'. The ninety-five was the route you were on It was not the speed limit sign."

1. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (animated version). I used to have the entire thing memorized. Scary, huh? 2. Charlie Brown Christmas. 3. A Christmas Story. 4. Christmas Vacation. "Hallelujah. Holy s**t. Where's the Tylenol?"

Family's really what it's all about. My mom and dad gave us some really BIG Christmases when we were little... dad probably had to work a little extra overtime (ok, a lot of overtime) to afford it. But we appreciated it. Now that we're all older, our Christmases have been a lot smaller and more family oriented. One year we just did stocking stuffers and went on a 1 week trip up to the mountains for skiing and snow. It was great since we lived in an area where you NEVER get a white Christmas. Christmas gifts come and go, but the memories last a lifetime.

Bri, I gotta send that version of The Night Before Christmas to Jimmie... LOL. -Mufn

Redneck Christmas gifts
Meadowmufn replied to dixierebel001@yahoo.com's topic in Hazzard County Christmas
All of us used to get dad pounds and pounds of red pistachios every Christmas and we'd all sit around eatin' 'em with him. Our fingers were stained red for days afterwards. LOL. Can't do that anymore cuz dad's a diabetic, so now he gets a gift card to Home Depot. -Mufn -

Folks, several people have been signing up with inappropriate and destructive links in their profiles. To stop this behavior and to protect our membership, I have decided to disable website links in member profiles. I realize this is somewhat of a penalty for those of you who have websites, but it is needed to prevent our membership from getting viruses from these sites and to protect those of our members who are minors from stumbling onto some incredibly disgusting and inappropriate websites. The latest batch of new member profiles had links to sites that were riddled with viruses and trojans. Tactics like these are usually done by outsiders with no interest in sticking around or contributing to the community. We're sorry for any inconvenience this causes. -Mufn

Aw, shucks. LOL. Thanks for the compliment, folks. It's YOU folks that make HazzardNet what it is. We keep up the site for the fans and you fans contribute quite a bit. -MM

First of all, lemme start off by reminding everybody of the nice li'l copyright notice at the bottom of the main page (and most of the other pages) on HazzardNet. That means all original content, photos, look and feel, etc are copyrighted and may not be used without permission. I, Brian, MaryAnne, and countless others who "live" here have put our heart and soul into this site to provide a community for fans and to have someone just blatantly rip it off does not sit well, whether harm was meant or not. How would you like someone to steal something you worked hard on and pass it off as their own? Hmm. :x However, if you have an ORIGINAL website... something of your own creation that you didn't copy from some place else, we wouldn't mind taking a look and linking to it if we deem it a good site to visit. Use your creativity. Find an angle no site has tried yet. Be original! -Mufn

The problem has been removed, Tim. We received a few other complaints too. -Mufn
