You know what Hazzardnet needs right now? A wake up button! I agree with Roger...it is sad to see this GREAT site be so quiet for so long. I mean come on, what's not love?! It even has a great NASCAR thread to help keep you up to date on all the fast and exciting things that are going on in the world of NASCAR... LOL Yep people sure don't know what they're missing...

Tony Stewart had his second surgery to his leg done today to insert a rod into his leg and as of now will be out of the number 14 car indefinitely due to his injury. Italian Max Papis will be driving Stewart's car this weekend at Watkins Glen...but no word on who will drive it afterward. (If it were me, I'd put Elliot Sadler behind the 14 wheel while Tony is recovering. Elliot use to drive in the Cup Series until he ran out of contract and didn't have a ride and went back to the Nationwide to work on his skills. He was runner up to the championship in Nationwide last year and has won several races in Nationwide. Would be great to see him in a great ride like Tony's and show up his skill. Perhaps earn a good ride next year in Cup...but of course, no one has asked me. YET! LOL) Tony Stewart has his second surgery on his leg - out indefinitely I may be a Jeff Gordon fan...a Hendrick team fan. (Though Tony Stewart and his team does have affiliation with the Hendrick team as they carry the Hendrick engine in all three of their cars. So perhaps he is an extended team mate of Gordon's. LOL) But I really hate this for Smoke...Tony is a race car driver through and through. This has got to be eating him up knowing he can't race this weekend or the next or for however long he is out. And watching the race, well, it won't be the same without Stewart behind the wheel of the 14 car. Tony is currently eleventh in points and holds a wild card slot for the chase with his win he had earlier this year. All that will go away now that he will be missing races and his hopes for the chase has now vanished. I had seen a video of his wreck and it was horrifying...rolled it five times. As horrible as this is for Tony with breaking his leg in two different places, two different surgeries, still in the hospital, and out of several races...well, he is lucky to still be alive. Especially after a sprint series driver died this past weekend in an accident. Those cars don't look safe at all and with all these accidents happening, they don't sound very safe either. Though I did read somewhere yesterday that Stewart saved someone's life in the accident. I guess his car was going towards the pits or was falling towards the pits and would have landed on someone in the pits...and probably would have killed him. Stewart took his car the other way and then wrecked. So if that is the case, Tony is somewhat a hero who is now paying the price I am praying and wishing Tony Stewart and speedy and well recovery and can't wait to see him back on track SOON!

Well, y'all, got some sad news for you. Tony Stewart has had some horrible luck when it comes to sprint car races (not to be confused by the Sprint Series in which is NASCAR's main series that Stewart drives in...) as a few weeks ago he went to pass a young female driver and got caught up in an accident that sent the young driver to the hospital to have surgery on her back. Last week Stewart was in another sprint car race and was in a bad accident...though Stewart seemed to generalize it as an average sprint car accident. And then last night he was in another sprint car race in Oskaloosa, Iowa and was involved in another accident...this one leading to him being air lifted to the nearest hospital with a broken leg. He will have to have surgery on his leg by the sounds of it. Tony Stewart accident Another article on Tony Stewart's accident Stewart now sits eleventh in points and is struggling to make the Chase that will start after five more races...one of the articles state that he will miss this upcoming Watkins Glen race (would think he would have to miss more...but I don't know) which will only make things worse for Stewart in the points. As we found out with Denny Hamlin when he hurt his back earlier this year, the drivers who don't start the race, don't get the points. I may not be a big Tony Stewart fan, but I do wish him a well and speedy recovery. Never want to see something like this happen...to anyone.

KHEE Roger! Good one!

Thanks Hoss for coming to my rescue...again. Switched your driver Stenhouse Jr on my starting list for Fantasy NASCAR and look how he repays me?! He wrecks on the first lap...thanks to JPM. Do believe Stenhouse Jr was just a bit upset at ol Juan if you ask me. Then again, he isn't the first driver to get upset at Juan Pablo and probably won't be the last...

Well I don't have a lot of time but did want to say something... Today's race was full of ups and downs. A lot of tire issues. Denny Hamlin who is known to be good at Pocono (his first two wins were his first two starts at Pocono) had tire issues that sent him into the wall and out of the race. He ended up dead last in 43rd spot. Towards the start of the race, Juan Pablo Montoya took out Ricky Stenhouse Jr... Jimmie Johnson had the most dominant car during the first half of the race...only for his tire to go flat and he hit the wall. He struggled with his car after that and hung out in 30th spot for a long time, but after a lot of work and a lot of fight, he came home thirteenth. Brad Keselowski had a fast car but when he took four tires, everyone took two tires and sent him back to fifteenth spot. He finished sixth today. Danica Patrick was probably having one of her better races when she got into it with another driver and then took out Jeff Burton who also was having one of his better races of the season. Kasey Kahne had a fast car towards the end of the race and one that was hard to catch. Though Jeff Gordon seemed to do just that and was able to pass him with a handful of laps to go until Matt Kenseth had some issues and hit the wall. On the final restart Gordon started on the inside and Kahne acted as if he had a bad restart but Kurt Busch was able to push him past Jeff Gordon. Kasey Kahne went on to win his second race of the season and Jeff Gordon came home second. Was a pretty exciting race...and am happy with second, but gotta admit, having the win right there like that, was kinda disappointing not to get the win. But second place is a great finish...especially after starting twenty-second today for Jeff Gordon.

Awww thanks Roger. Am glad to hear that Gordon has gained an extra fan for his birthday! So does it get crazy on race day in Pennsylvania?
-
Thanks Hoss for covering for me...it has been a busy week/end. Race is tomorrow...August 4th. On JEFF GORDON's BIRTHDAY. Gordon will turn 42 years YOUNG and guess what...this is Gordon's 42nd time of racing at Pocono. Hopefully it ends up as a win. My opinion...of course. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEFF GORDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Well see how observant I was ... never saw the FB like button. LOL Thanks Roger and MM.
-
As I said...he finished too far ahead of Gordon. Though why would you trust a site that has Crash in it's title? LOL
-
You are welcome Roger. Wish I had the answer for your question about how far ahead Jr was of Gordon, but can't find that answer. Sorry . If you ask me...he was too far ahead of Gordon. LOL Sorry I am not of much help.
-
Well Redneck girl and Roger you now have less than five months to go til Christmas...
-
Whoops...how could I forget Bayne and Stenhouse Jr?
-
Well the Brickyard 500 race is now over and though I loved every moment of it...but there isn't much to report about. Ryan Newman started from the pole and won from the pole. Jimmie Johnson started second and finished second. 1. Ryan Newman 2. Jimmie Johnson 3. Kasey Kahne 4. Tony Stewart 5. Matt Kenseth 6. Dale Earnhardt Jr 7. Jeff Gordon 8. Joey Logano 9. Juan Pablo Montoya 10. Kyle Busch Brickyard 500 finishes We are at the tricky triangle next Sunday...Pocono. Great day for team Hendrick as all four Hendrick cars finish in the top ten...plus Stewart and Newman have Hendrick engines in them.

I don't know if this would help in anyway, but on a dog forum that I am on, they just put down a Facebook like button on the posts. So if you like a post you could like it and it would go on that person's Facebook page if they had one. Like I said, I don't know if that would help any, but it is an idea.

Yes it is! Talking of which...someone at work said they saw the Dukes on TV the other night. Hoping they are right, can't recall what channel they said it was on though.
-
LOL...thought it looked wrong when I wrote it out. DOH me!
-
Sorry to burst your bubble Hoss, but you didn't somehow inherit Ryan Newman, Tony Stewart, and Danica Patrick as your team of drivers...may have sounded like Hoss, but it was Stewart - HASS racing. I did find out that my parents' cable does have NBCSP...but I am not going to the Grand Prix race. My channel will be set on ESPN for NASCAR at Indy...

Here is the line up for Sunday's race at Indy: 1 Ryan Newman 2 Jimmie Johnson 3 Carl Edwards 4 Denny Hamlin 5 Tony Stewart 6 Kurt Busch 7 Kasey Kahne 8 Juan Pablo Montoya 9 Jeff Gordon 10 Marcos Ambrose 11 Joey Logano 12 Brad Keselowski 13 Matt Kenseth 14 A J Allmendinger 15 Dale Earnhardt Jr. 16 Jeff Burton 17 Clint Bowyer 18 Jamie McMurray 19 Kyle Busch 20 Austin Dillon 21 Aric Almirola 22 Travis Kvapil 23 Paul Menard 24 Kevin Harvick 25 Ricky Stenhouse Jr. 26 Mark Martin 27 Greg Biffle 28 Trevor Bayne 29 Landon Cassill 30 Casey Mears 31 David Reutimann 32 Josh Wise 33 Danica Patrick 34 Bobby Labonte 35 Michael McDowell 36 David Ragan 37 Mike Bliss 38 David Stremme 39 Martin Truex Jr. 40 J.J. Yeley 41 Joe Nemechek 42 Dave Blaney 43 David Gilliland Well Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson are going into this race favored due to them both having the most wins at Indy...both having four. Jeff Gordon won the inaugural race in '97 (I think). Also remember, the race will no longer be on TNT...you go to TNT you will be watching something other than NASCAR. The race will be on channel ESPN on Sunday at Pre race on at 12:00 PM with the race starting 1:00 PM EST.

Happy birthday Rosco! I hope your day is special in every way! (We had the radio on at work and in the mornings they announce local birthdays that are called in as well as celebrities. Normally I can't hear it or catch it due to the kids running around but we were low today so it was a bit quiet. Totally forgot it was Rosco's birthday (I know...shame on me!) until they announced it. Was super excited to hear something Duke related at work. LOL) HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMES, HOPE IT IS A GREAT ONE!
-
Oops sorry that Rosco bit you Roger...but what can I say? I trained them good, didn't I? Guess you musta didn't see the Cubs shirt Rosco was wearing, eh? Sorry he bit you...that is naughty on his part, but perhaps next time you should wear a Cubs shirt and a hat...he'd be your best friend. If you like Rosco's Cubs shirt, you should see Lilly's Bears jersey shirt she has! At least you didn't wear a Steelers shirt in ... you may have had both of em at you. Hope your arm will be OK Roger...am sure it will be just fine in time. Sometimes it takes a little pain to learn what's good... LOL Hoss...had to laugh at your post. I do have a Cubs dog shirt and a Bears dog jersey shirt. Don't have one for the cat...know she wouldn't have any of it. At least the dogs put up with it. HA!
-
That'll surprise 'em...though you'll be greeted by a couple of barking dogs (friendly) and two more if I am there. Hope you don't mind a little dog slobber.
-
Thanks for all the info Hoss but you are lacking the one piece of info I have been searching for the past two days...whether or not I have it. LOL. I don't have cable but my parents do so really don't know all their channels...just the few that I watch from time to time.
-
I have never heard of that program before either. My parents...who has cable as I do not...has ABCSP...don't know if it is the same or not? This has me nervous...LOL
