The storm hit the moment Luke pulled the door shut. He shook his head as he looked out the window. "S'quite a storm...."

"It'll be ok Bo...let's just get inside," said Luke getting to his feet and following Bo inside.

"Yeah...I don't like the way the wind feels...like...a storm's a comin'...."

"No....no it sure wasn't that," agreed Luke.

Luke nodded a little, running a hand down his face.

I'll agree with ya Bo.

Luke sighed heavily. "I'm scared Uncle Jesse."

Aw, Enos...you know how I feel boutcha...or...you should know by now... but in case ya have any doubts...*leans over and gives him a peck on the cheek*

"I know...but if I thought...for one minute...that...oh what's the use...it's done now...done an' gone," said Luke sadly. "Bo ain't never gonna forgive me."

Luke ran a hand through his hair gently. "I dunno what to do..."

Luke just nodded. S'bad enough to hafta be on my own...but to be on my own out there...I...I just..."

"About...about..." he began unable to get his words out.

Luke turned to his uncle, his hands fidgiting a little. "What'll I do Uncle Jesse?"

Luke brushed his eyes with the back of his hand. He didnt know what to say so he kept quiet. There was nothing left to say. He was heading for Nam... and there was no going back now.

Luke ran a hand through his hair. "I never wanted to hurt him."

"I thought that at one time," began Luke. "Not anymore."

Luke nodded a little. "I just don't want him to...forget about me," said Luke softly.

Luke held his uncle close, sniffing a little. "What am I gonna do?" he asked softly.

Luke nodded gently, never hoping more for his uncle to be right.

"He's never gonna forgive me...not ever..."

Darn it...I almost put ice house too...but I couldnt remember to save my life and they both seemed right.... Ugh...darn it all duped again...

I agree...Im not real sure about the last one though...here's hopin my streak dont end at 41

Luke nodded a little wiping at his watery eyes, still refusing to cry, though it was getting harder and harder to hold it in.

Luke ran a trembling hand down his face. "I thought...I was doin' the right thing..."

" It won't do no good," began Luke a quiver in his voice. "Just'll make it harder," he added though he couldn't imagine how it could be- he already felt like his world was coming apart.
