  1. Again... who is watching tv at that time in the morning?

Most elementary school children (least when i was a tad) don't get up until 7:30, 8:00, to get ready for school, have about 10 minutes to watch TV, and then are out the door. Middle and High School students are up 5 or 6 am, get ready, and are out the door. Most parents use that time slot to watch the news. That is an awful time slot to put on hour long tv shows. Good for 15 minutes to a half hour, not hour.

Not a good time slot at all for anything being tested for viewership numbers... especially if they don't advertise it... even if they did it's still a bad time slot.

  2. there is also an episode where you can tell the General Lee is going to land on it's side... which it did so they redid the landing. I believe it was the one with the boys jumping through the barn, and they used a clip of it in the first Reunion movie as well. I don't think they did ANY new jumps for that one. I think they were all clipped from the show.

Speaking of the first reunion movie... you can really tell what stunt driving was done then and what was done during the show. The spot by the lights is black in the show, orange in the stuff filmed for the first Reunion. that drove me nuts!

  3. There for a while, ABC Family was airing the Dukes of Hazzard at midnight or 1 AM.. it was really late. It was shortly before the show was taken off by CMT.

If they were doing it as a test run and are using that as a basis to say there was not enough viewership, I would tell them look at the danged time slot! Who the heck is up at 12 or 1 am lookin' to watch a family oriented show?

And folks, I had found it on at that time by ACCIDENT!

  4. Behind the scenes thread? We're talking accidents that made it into the show! *angelic face*

I know what ya mean, just yankin' ya chain. I started this thread because I was watching Happy Birthday General Lee and just barely caught the part about it being refered to as a '68... and I never seen that listed in any bloopers lists before. It got me wondering if anyone else had ever noticed it before.

  5. *raises hand to be noticed above the rest of the crowd (especially Alex)*

Ooooh, oooh, pick me, pick me, I want to be a Hazzardnet administrator too. I realize it requires some computers skills and as soon as I figure out where the grease fittings are on this thing I'll (hopefully) have acquired enough techno skills to do the job. I already spray painted it orange and put a couple 01s on the sides. I bet Alex's computer is white or black or some other boring color.

    gotta see this.

*sits down next to Rosco and pulls out a bag of snacks as well* This might going to become very interesting...

  6. Why do I get the feeling this is going to go down hill really quick? :-o LOL

Um, ahem, well anyway uhh, okay, putting this topic back on track heah...this is supposed to be trying to put Brian to work here and it obviously ain't working. As usual.

Unless I start implementing some Dire Threats with Serious Consquences. I hate going to such extememes ya know....

Well, actually I don't because it usually works. Heh heh...

    Hmm....lemme think now...

    Hey MaryAnne,

How about 20 lashes with a wet noodle!

    Sorry, couldn't help it.:innocent:

  7. Also if you notice in some earlier episodes, the General Lee's windows are up, but when they go to a scene with the boys getting out or what ever, the windows are down without any indication they were up in the first place. Ordinarally, if that were me, I woulda stopped before putting the windows down, or would have waited as long as possible to do so if it was cold out... which during some of the filming in Conyers, it was pretty cold out! At least, that's what I hear.

There's also a scene i know of in one episode, can't remember which one, where it looks like Tom got in through the window, but got in through the door and you can hear the door slam shut. Audio Blooper.

  8. Brian, Brian, Brian,

That usually involves 1 of 2 things at least. Either ya ain't taki'n' care of Diablo which I doubt, considerin' he's your pride and joy, or option 2, you hit something. I'm going with option 2. Now to drop an entire dual exaust system... that had to be a pretty interesting accident. That doesn't happen with a little itty bitty one. What did you do, run up on a curb? On a baracade? Did you try to jump Diablo? I mean, I've heard of knocking one muffler off, but BOTH?

  9. I just realized, there's no thread for bloopers with the General Lee (if there is, I don't know where).

Now I have come across pictures with bloopers in them: Case and point there is a picture of the General Lee somewhere with the 01 backwards. It has a cast member standing infront of it. Somehow, I wonder if it was a publicity photo (those General's actually didn't have the numbers on them) who someone tried to fill in the numbers and had dyslexia or something.

Now on to what I noticed today. I just finished watching 'Happy Birthday General Lee' and I caught something peculiar when they did the junk yard scene where that worker is being grilled by those two criminals. I just barely caught it and had to rewatch the scene, but I was right.

He did not refer to the General Lee before he was the General Lee as a '69. No siree bob. He refered to it as a SIXTY EIGHT.

And here I thought junk yard owners were supposed to know their cars.

Now I know there were General Lees on the show that were modified from '68's however, this would most definitely be considered a blooper considering the General was supposed to be a '69.

  10. At least, those that don't have the stupid iPod earbuds in their ears! Those people never hear anything!

Ah yes...tell 'em about tearing off BOTH mufflers on Diablo a few weeks ago, cousin... :D

that must have been a sight to behold... and I wonder how he did it. Well, on the brighter side of things, least he ain't hurt... least not bad enough for anyone to detect anyway...

Not glad you pulled a Rosco with Diablo, but Glad ya pulled a Rosco by not getting hurt too bad during it brian.

  11. Well now... whatcha know... it looks to me like it's almost MaryAnne Coltrane's birthday again... and ya know what?

    Birthday_cake2.jpg

Have a nice, beautiful, rich, delicious cake! Happy Birthday MaryAnne. Remember, don't eat the cake until 4/9! And one other thing...

HAVE A HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND ENJOY THE DAY! ENJOY YOURSELF, PAMPER YOURSELF, AND HAVE FUN! *Big hug*

  12. Didn't know she had lights and siren on Maverick... and I don't think she does.

hmm... you know Brian, I think we should be worried about YOUR driving abilities as well. Wheelman in the past or not, you do still have the Coltrane Blood in your veins. :-P

  13. I posted a sister thread to this for Road Signs you'd be likely to find in Hazzard County, such as parking signs and bilboards directed at Rosco, and signs that ya know apply to Bo and Luke... including a speed limit moniter that tells you your speed.

  14. Um MaryAnne... was these also your park jobs?FunnyPart-com-nice_parking_job.jpg

244-small.jpg (I think your buddy pulled out from under ya in this one)

Um... Brian... were you stealing patrol cars agian?

08police55510viazizaep0.jpg and don't blame maryanne on that one, that's not her patrol car! It's too new!

hmm... maybe I aughta start a thread for funny traffic signs you'd only find in Hazzard... found a few of those already....

  15. Hmm... with the thing about forgetting to put it in park.... in real life my boss did that a few weeks ago... whew that was a day...

Same day, earlier that day, I told him not to drive through a muddy field in a pickup that doesn't have fourwheel drive and he did it anyway. Told him he'd get stuck, but he didn't listen. Then about an hour later, the poor guy stops the truck so we can gather limbs and he forgets to set the parking break... and leaves it in drive.

Personally, in real life I don't have a car, however, in real life I did finally get my drivers license!

Hmm... crazy stuff? Sounds like my mother or my mother's exboyfriend! Shoot... she had a stationwagon that seen almost as much airtime as the General Lee! I kid you not!

  16. Ya know...

I think MaryAnne might be a better driver than ya give her credit for. Would I let MaryAnne park Jumper? um... maybe (JK of course i would, Deputy Coltrane was the exception to the rule I mentioned!)? Would I let Rosco? No freakin' way.

I do agree though, when she does something, she does it big! Though sometimes I wonder if there wasn't a little help from a dark clothed cousin of hers in making the chaotic concoctions of the past. Sides, how do I know you weren't helping with that valet parking? How do we know you didn't cause any of those accidents by cutting the law off in Diablo or messed with the road, making pot holes, panting speedbumps black and removing their markers...

Hmm... Brian, i think that would make a very interesting story for you.

  17. Hey y'all,

Just thought some of you might be interested in knowing there is a virus going around that is particularly devistating. At least 3 people I know of in the past 2 months have caught the computer virus (I say virus because of the way it affects the computer). I do not know the name. I am one of those 3 people.

As said before, this virus is devistating. When your computer contracts it, when you go to boot the computer, it boots half way and then has to reboot again, and the cycle just repeats itself. Your computer will not boot up and has to have windows reinstalled. :-o

Please, make sure you have a copy of your recovery disc (most computers for XP comes with one) or a copy of the windows version you use on disc.

Some computers use drivers that are not on the recovery discs. You may want to ensure you have this as well on disc.

Some antivirus software does not detect this rogue program! I know for a fact AVG is one of the ones that do not! When I had the virus, I had gotten it just after buying my lap top, and had yet to get around to switching from AVG (Computer retailer put that on) back to McAfee (what i prefer). I do believe McAfee does indeed detect the virus. It automatically scans all downloads. My computer tried to download something without asking and it was a virus, McAfee caught it. I beleive it was the same one, same directory area on the computer.

This virus tries to download into the System32 files and effectively prevents bootup.

    Please friends, be careful!

If you need an Antivirus software, in my experience Systematic (norton) and McAfee work the best (Not to bash AVG or anything, but as far as I know, they are one of the last to put out information for their software to detect new viruses. Had one friend who had AVG and their computer was acting funny so I had them run a freescan from McAfee's website, and they found NINE viruses... and this was within the past 2 weeks). If you do not like these programs or think you may want to look at some other ones, and you do not have an antivirus software installed on the computer, Microsoft's website does infact have links to different manufacturers.

If you would like a link to the free scan offered by McAfee, please contact me.

There is also a minor virus going around Yahoo! Messenger. I have had it, an infected computer invisibly sends messages not seen by users to other users computers. If you catch a glimps of your computer entering text into a buddy's IM window nad entering it really fast, but it does not appear in the chat window, you can press the up arrow and it should show the line of text it entered. If this happens, you must uninstall and reinstall yahoo messenger completely. The beta does not seem to have this problem. Again, I had AVG when this happened.

If you have Yahoo Messenger and download an antivirus and suddenly after being on for so long your computer starts not showing text in new IM and Chat windows, do not panic. YM, your internet provider, and the antivirus software aren't 100% compatable sometimes. It happens (but it may also be afore mentioned virus). I have experienced this as well. It went away when I switched from Netzero IP to a Cable internet provider(although i did completely uninstall, and delete YM and downloaded it again, then decided to upgrade to 9.0 instead). Just simply completely shut down YM, wait 30 seconds and restart Messenger, or uninstall and delete it completely, and then redownload it, prefereably the new Beta version.

The best ways to prevent a virus (and no i don't think y'all are stupid, some people just don't know this and this is for them)? ALWAYS scan something new you add to the computer! If it's in email, scan it before downloading. If it's in IM or online, Scan it before opening it after the download. Never Download anything you do not know what it is. Make sure your computer blocks popups and always asks you before downloading anything (Sometimes a virus can get around this prompt though so scan the computer regularly!). Also always make sure to download your windows updates if you are a windows user! These updates 'patch' any 'backdoors' that have been discovered in the O.S. in which a virus may use to take hold or people may use to hack your computer. Also, making sure you have uptodate versions of most of your software (such as messengers, ISP's, ect) does sometimes help. This does not mean you have to get the betas, just means try to have a current version of the program.

  18. I was just over at the Dukesfest website and aparently they are going to be announcing the name of another celebrity that will be there. The announcement is going to be on April 1st. Unless they are announcing the cast line up (which I doubt), I hope it's an April Fools joke, cause there is no sense in announcing all of these guest stars before the cast. Absolutely NONE!
