*raises hand* I do! LOL. Remind me and I'll give you some links to some wonderful pattern sites and data bases.
I've been crocheting for over 15 years, and been learning to knit on and off for the past ten It just takes so long to knit something, which is probably why it's taking me so long to learn. I've got it down I think now, but I don't do much with it... my needles are so small size 6... but my crochet hooks range from D-K, and eventually I'm supposed to be getting a set of steel hooks from my mom. She has two sets. I'll be getting her old set and she's going to keep my grandmother's set. It's a complete set.

Howdy Folks,
This is just another friendly little reminder about the chat next week. There's just a week left starting tomorrow night before the Community Chat.
Remember, be there, or look like Rosco when he's up a tree... involuntarily.

Questions have been answered! Thanks Hoss!

alright, so I found the name of the reverend (J.P. Frawley) on another thread, signs of hazzard, however, I cannot remember what the man looked like.
-
Alright, so I'm writing a story, and a plan on using a pivotal member of the Hazzard community for a scene, the good reverend... but... I cannot remember his name or age! Help!
I am fairly certain the good reverend appeared in the episode where there was a mixup with the little black books, where Daisy was in a church play as a nurse.
Someone, please assist me!

Interesting how they had a straight red light bar. Here in Delaware, the different light bars mean different things:
Red and Blue: Police
Red: Fire Department/ambulance
Red and Yellow: Ambulance
Blue: Fire Police (Not to be confused with Fire Marshal. They are two different jobs here. Fire Marshal investigates fires, enforces fire codes, etc, whereas fire police do traffic control, crowd control, and act as police on a fire scene).
I know some states blue indicates general police just like the red and blue does.

We have another birthday today.
A Happy Birthday goes out to TRPColtrane95, who is turning 36 today. They haven't been online recently, but Happy Birthday none the less.
-
Ten years is a long time to be on the same website. You might be less than half my age but around here you're an old-timer compared to me!
And you're right....folks around here grow on you.....even Brian.
Thanks Roger... although there are plenty of others who have been around longer than I have, and without the absences (and there for a long time, it seemed like I was the youngest member on the site, or at least, the youngest writer).
And yes, even Brian LOL. The moderators are the heart and soul of this place, in combination with the Dukes. I think my favorite thing to do is read the posts where they (The moderators) are interacting with each other and the general members.
-
And thank you for taking over the monthly chat Hilery.
It's not a problem, Roger. In fact, it's my pleasure to assist you in this endeavor.

This is just a friendly little reminder: We are more than halfway through the month of April, with a week and a half to go before the next chat. I wanted to get this out early so people remember to clear their calenders!
As the next chat is on a Tuesday, I will be running a teensy bit late. I have a class to teach that night for a non profit organization. I know the chats are usually scheduled for 8pm and the classes don't end until 8:30, sometimes later, and I don't usually get home until 9 or 9:30 eastern standard time.

Years ago Hazzardnet had an official Birthday Thread going but I don't know whatever happened to it... So I think it's time to start a new one!
Of course we all know last week was our favorite Deputy's birthday, and we did have some fun wishing her a happy birthday on the thread set up for it, but why do we need a new thread every time someone wants to wish someone a happy birthday?
Today we have two birthdays to contend with. Those birthdays are:
HazzardE4, who has turned 24. We haven't spoken, and he/she doesn't seem to post much, but happy birthday none the less.
K-Duke15, who has turned 15. She is a new friend of mine, and seemingly a good writer. I quite enjoy talking with her about the show. Hard to believe she is the age now that I was when I joined Hazzardnet ten years ago. Happy Birthday!
-
Welcome. I joined when I was about KDuke15's age. In fact, I was 15 when I joined. Ten years later, I'm still around. This bunch of lovable oafs will grow on you
(they aren't really oaf's, but they are lovable!)

Yeah, as you seen, I revised my statement to say you're the Good Redneck. I think I should add GoofBall, and I am debating klutz with as many times as you've tripped over that power cord... no I think I'll stop at Goofball. You're too artistic when you trip over it to be a klutz... sides, Brian, being the criminal genius he is, probably pushed you.
(sorry, I've actually been enjoying raggin' on y'all. I'm not serious about any of it. It's all in good fun. God knows I'm an idiot, klutz, dummy, goofball, incompetent, redneck, lazy, etc).
-
Excuse me... Brian is not evil with morals, evil is a very strong word that does not apply at all to Brian. Yes, we bad guys have our codes, but would never cross into evil territory...
Hmm... yeah you're right, but if he's not evil, and too bad to be a delinquent, then what is he?
OOO I know what he is, he's a criminal with morals ROFL.
-
When I hear the term delinquent, I think of Juvenile Delinquents.
Brian ain't a delinquent, he's just plain evil... with morals LOL. Hey, even a bad guy needs a code to live by.
-
LOL, well I'm going with the Jeff Foxworthy indicator now.
Mufn is the Head Redneck, MaryAnne the Good Redneck, and Brian the Evil Redneck. Let's face it, if you guys had an ounce of sophistication while playing on here, we'd be bored out of our minds!
(On a side note, for those of you who have difficulties seeing the red/orange on blue background like I do, I have made a wonderful discovery. Turn the brightness down on the monitor, the blue appears black, and the orange turns red, making it much easier to see. I couldn't sleep and being in a dark room for the past several hours, when I turned my monitor on it hurt my eyes so i turned the brightness down so it appeared darker. Darn April Heat Wave lol)

*ahem* I have never been "Head Idiot". Mastermind, yes. Genius, yes. Evil genius, occasionally. Good genius, eh, maybe. Head idiot, never. (My IQ was solidly in genius range in college. Have I also mentioned I'm very humble? LOL. Perhaps we should have a contest to guess my IQ!)
Brian, an evil genius? More like mildly delinquent rascal with more than enough smarts to get himself out of all the trouble he gets himself into. LOL. Definitely not an idiot... above average IQ.
MaryAnne is hardly an idiot either. More like the glue that holds this place together (when she's not tripping over power cords), also with an above average IQ.
It's because we're all so smart that we're also very lazy.
There's a difference between being an idiot and acting idiotic. LOL.
And here I thought it was possible to be a Genius and an Idiot at the same time.
To quote what my landlady said to me a few weeks ago that proves this: "You are one of the brightest people I know, but you're also one of the dumbest people I know, and I don't understand how that's possible."
Did I mention my IQ is above average as well, and I'm known as the idiot in my family?
You can indeed be a Genius and an Idiot at the same time, the difference is, when a genius is being an idiot, he or she just doesn't use their heads.
Or I can quote Jeff Foxworthy and call you all the Head Redneck, Good Redneck, and Evil Redneck... as he defines it as a glorious lack of sophistication... although, a lot of people I know consider rednecks and hillbillies to be idiots even though they can fix just about anything LOL
But Mufn, don't get your feather's in a ruffle. I was joking and it was meant to be a compliment.
-
How did I guess it was Alex who became 'Deep Space Nine?' Musta had something to do with the whole "Official Hazzardnet Tooth Fairy" bit, and I bet it was a certain Coltrane who has an addiction to the color black which put that there. Hmm...
Yeah, MaryAnne and Mufn, while general slackers and can be up to no good at times, Brian is the Hazzardnet Evil Gen... er... Idiot... Sorry Brian... a genius can't come up with the shenanigans you do... think of it as a compliment.
Mufn is the Good Genius (who morphs into the Head Idiot at times) that keeps this place running, as Brian and MaryAnne would probably blow this place up I think (power cords and Deep Space Nine anyone?), and MaryAnne is the assistant Genius... er no that's not right LOL, her shenanigans are too entertaining... she's the general Good Idiot which counter balances Brian
Yes, I think I have summed up their titles which aren't stated on their profiles quite well.
** All things stated in this post are meant to be taken as compliments by those mentioned instead of the insults they could be construed as.

Alright, it's Friday night, hows about some of us hit the chats? there's enough people on that we can have some fun and serious* discussion tonight.
*Serious discussion - discussion of good topics with a liberal amount of goofing off.
-
Oh I remember the software switch! LOL That was interesting... also remember the one and only time someone hacked the forums and everything had to be redone from scratch. That was a mess and a half. I personally didn't see the graffiti, but I seen the aftermath (believe me, I lost a few stories due to it).
When the software switch occurred, my join date went from Feb 4, 2002 to Feb 3, 2002.

Between the 3 of us, we have well over a century of experience. Experience in loafing, tripping over the server power cords, accidentally deleting things, making inappropriate comments, harassing each other, hatching devious schemes, and other important skills you need to get through life.
I believe it! If I remember correctly, someone trips over that there power cord pretty dang regularly. Have you guys taped it down yet or put a carpet over the stupid thing or something yet?
What accidentally got deleted? I don't recall that happenin'. Recall the rest, but not the accidental deletion.
-
So who's up for a chat this evening? Anyone?
-
Looks to me like someone on the crew, or perhaps a few of them, couldn't spell. I've heard there is another misspelling to be found, I believe in one armed bandits.
-
LOL. She blew past those numbers a while ago! You realize, if she was 21, she would have been 8 years old when I started HazzardNet. LOL!
Mufn, I meant was she 21 and holding? 29 and holding? LOL. I know she's older than that, I been here ten years and i'm 25!

Are there any other musicians on the board? I have taken several and am currently a music instructor... non profit of course
So, I took the:
Violin for six years
Recorder for three years
Guitar for three months (was in school and I was only in the school for three months)
Keyboard for three months (see guitar)
Fife for ten years (The fife is a colonial instrument, similar to a piccolo. Please view the movies The Patriot, Glory, Gettysburg, Gods and Generals... This is the instrument I currently teach to beginning students).
I also sometimes, when bored, mess a little with drums (Snare, Bass). Only had one lesson though (and that was how to hold the sticks. I cannot read drum music, nor can I play any songs. I just know how to do a para-diddle).
