  2. Embolism why did Catherine Bach have to go to the hospital? Catherine Bach was hospitalized due to an embolism, which is a blockage in a blood vessel, likely resulting from a recent surgery. Her hospitalization was an emergency, and her co-stars have been supportive, sharing their prayers and updates. The embolism is a known complication that can develop after surgery, but it is treatable with proper medical care. Bach's condition has been a concern for fans, but her co-stars have reassured her family that she is in good hands and will recover soon. Parade +5

  3. I double-checked before posting my reply above, and every source I found said it sank on the 15th. The iceberg hit was late on the 14th.

  4. The Titanic left Queenstown (now Cobh) in Ireland on April 11th, 1912, hit the iceberg just before midnight on the 14th, and sank on the 15th. BTW. Cobh is pronounced like "cove".

    Friday Night

Well, you guys know Friday night was when TDOH came on TV and every Friday is DOHD ( Dukes Of Hazzard Day) , an international holiday! Well, as Hobie, I'm going to do my part celebrating, by buying some Jack Daniels and pretending it's some of Jesse's Finest! Then I'll come back here to the house and watch several episodes, while imbibing! ( wooo! Imbibing !! That's a big word! .....I'm glad I've got my college boy learning or I'd never even know what that word means! LOL! ) ......When I use more the 2 syllables a word, I'm tripping in tall cotton, so you guys watch out for me!

  11. Well I just got done watching the evening news for the first time in a while, and it makes me nostalgic for the days when tv stations would sign off after prime time shows. Bring it back yโ€™all, we live in an age of information overload, and even though Iโ€™m apart of the techy Gen Z generation, I honestly long for simpler days. Thatโ€™s why we bought a vintage 70s landline phone for our house phone, Iโ€™m sick of too much tech. Why donโ€™t kids get off the stuff and play outside in the mud and drink water from a hose again?

Well, that's F1 over for 2025. The top three got off the line in order, but Oscar Piastri overtook Lando Norris on lap 1. McLaren split their tire strategy with Oscar on hards and Lando on mediums. George Russell lost a couple of places at the start which let Charles Leclerc pressure Lando in the early laps. Lando and Charles made pit stops on lap 17, and Lando proceeded to overtake four cars in the next two laps. On lap 23, Lando caught Max's team mate Yuki Tsunoda, who attempted to slow Lando a little. In the end, Yuki forced Lando off the track by making an illegal double move under braking and earned himself a 5-second penalty. Lando and Charles made a second pit stop on laps 41 and 40 respectively, which was a lap before Oscar made his only pit stop. In the closing laps, Lando was catching Oscar, but his team told him to ease off and not take unnecessary risks. At the flag it was Max first, Oscar second and Lando third, which was enough for Lando to take his first F1 championship. McLaren boss Zak Brown came on the radio on the slowdown lap to say, "Lando, this is Zak from McLaren. Is this the World Champion hotline?". Lando finished the year with 423 points to Max's 421 and Oscar's 410. It's McLaren's first drivers' championship since Lewis Hamilton won in 2008. Speaking of Lewis, after a poor qualifying, he had much better Sunday finishing eighth in the race and sixth in the championship, although it's his first F1 season without a podium finish in one of the main races. You can see the race highlights here. McLaren won the constructors' championship a while ago and finished on 833 points. Behind them, Mercedes were second with 469, Red Bull were third with 451 and Ferrari fourth with 398.

In just a few hours the 2025 F1 championship will be decided. After so much promise and hype, it looks like being the end of a year to forget for Lewis Hamilton who failed to make it out of the first qualifying session for the third race in a row. By contrast, his Ferrari team mate Charles Leclerc will start from fifth. At the front, Max Verstappen claimed pole despite complaining about his car's handling in practice. Close behind were Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, so all three drivers who can become this year's champion are starting in the top three. George Russell is next in fourth and could still play a part in the outcome. This weekend will also be the last to feature the Sauber name on the cars. Peter Sauber has been in motorsport for over 50 years and has had a stake in an F1 team since the early '90s. With a change in ownership, the Sauber team will be Audi F1 next year. Gabriel Bortoleto did a great job to put his Sauber in seventh place on the grid.

    Hazzard Square

I think Netflix need the studios, but that doesn't mean they'll keep all the facilities. Cooter's Garage went in the '90s and the Mexican and Western sets have also gone. Some of the Hazzard Square buildings have been standing since the '60s, which, let's face it, is a long time for any building in the Los Angeles area! If politics get involved, WB could go to Paramount Skydance, and they already have studios. It would be great to think that Hazzard Square would be preserved, but as my recent post on the Warner Ranch shows, money will always win out.

  33. I'm starting to celebrate DOHD a little early with some old No. 7 ( The doctor says beer might make my esophagus, which he operated on, bust open, so I'm going to watch DOHD after Jeopardy and then later tonight, I'll try to get back on here and tell you what I'm watching. Cheers to Jack Daniels ( RIP) and old No. 7. Sour Mash! * Interesting note- Jack Daniels is a world famous, very popular whiskey and it's made right here in Lynchburg Tn.! ( Moore county) a dry county, which means it's illegal to serve alcohol at restaurants and you can't buy alcohol anywhere in the county but No.7 is made in the distillery and shipped OUT of the county!
