  4. True. I don't trust Meadowmufn. She's just too good of friends with the Sheriff. Speaking of which, I wonder if Rosco is going to let her drive his car in the Moonshine 400. If she does, ignore the siren. She will probably use it to trick us into slowing down.

    Hee Haw!

Anyone on here remember the show Hee Haw? Presented by Buck Owens & Roy Clarke, and featuring a great variety cast and awesome sketch comedy. Back in the good old days when the whole family could gather round the television.. I may just be 23, but discovering the show on YouTube and then finding a channel that airs reruns in Canada really got me onto it!

There was definitely more overtaking this week at the Bahrain Grand Prix. The McLarens were quickest in practice, and Oscar Piastri put his on pole for the race. Lando Norris wasn't as comfortable in his McLaren and only qualified sixth. Max Verstappen was also unhappy with his Red Bull and started seventh. Oscar led the whole race to take his fourth F1 victory. George Russell got his Mercedes up to second at the start and managed to keep the place until the end, although at the moment he's under investigation for a technical infringement. Despite at 5-second penalty for being out of position on the grid, Lando moved up from sixth to finish third. He was followed home by the two Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. Ferrari had an upgraded car this weekend, but Charles said it wouldn't show much improvement in this race due to the nature of the track. Max got past the Alpine of a fast Pierre Gasly on the last lap. Haas got both of their cars home in the top ten with Esteban Ocon in eighth and Oliver Bearman in tenth. Between them in ninth was Yuki Tsunoda in the second red Bull. The race highlights are here. Only a week until the next race in Saudi Arabia.

  20. Well, it's racing time here in Hazzard, but of course it's ALWAYS racing time in Hazzard Co. The Moonshine Mauler is the favored winner this year, because of it's super charged engine and Hobie is the driver! There ARE some other racers though, who plan to give Hartkins a run for his money!

That would be so awesome to hear! I remember watching a race back in Gordon/Johnson was racing . . . they were at Atlanta and John Schneider was the Grand Marshall. I got super excited. He needs to do it again. HA.

I heard John Schneider on the General's P.A. system, driving through town, a few years ago. This guy here in Sparta owns a General and they seem to be buddies!

  25. Excellent idea! Except the Moonshine Mauler has some other ideas!!

  26. I like the way you think Mr. Race Commissioner. I think we should take a week before the race starts to make sure everybody has described their vehicle. And to make sure that everybody who wants to enter and lose to me has time to do so.

  27. They don't HAVE to be red! .....But they all ARE red! LOL! Dirt bikes, cars, ....whatever....This IS Hazzard County.....they do things different here! * * Another example of nobody has to explain anything to anybody around here! Everybody knows the quote I'm referring to ....!! ( This is ONE of the qualities that makes Hazzard so great!)

True. Probably even less than the robot.

  29. I was about to say, you mean your RED motor dirt bike? .....Well The Moonshine 400 is only for cars but as long as it's a RED dirt bike ( it sure looks red to me!) that will be fine! the prize for 1st place is one jug of shine or Buttermilk!

Just had a fun idea. Start a Moonshine 400 thread. It can be like Mario Kart and you can make any imaginary vehicle you want. Then after everyone has a vehicle in place we'll take turn posting race action, one post at a time.....like a role play. It will be total chaos....just like Hazzard County. I'll start it if you don't want to.

Is that the same car that got the vapors and stalled out before the first turn last year? It was green but as I recall it looked red to you. Can I enter my green Kawasaki dirt bike? It will probably look red to you also.

Well I've been horrible keeping up with this thread with NASCAR. I haven't watched a race in forever due to time and my TV. I should look again if I can get them or not. Last I checked, it kept cutting out and I just gave up. Plus it's getting frustrating to see Chase Elliott continually finishing mid pack. But I apologize for failing y'all... They raced at Texas today. Joey Logano won the race. Here is the final results to today's race: NASCAR Cup Series at Texas Motor Speedway Live Leaderboard, Results, & Updates

The race is over, but it's 11pm here, so I'm off to bed. I'll write my report tomorrow when the highlights video is available. In the meantime, instead of the usual drivers' parade lap on the back of a truck, in Miami they drove round the circuit in full-size 2-seater Lego F1 cars. The drivers all seemed to enjoy it, so we may see it again. You can see today's Lego lap here.

  34. Yes, James Cavan played both characters, although he was uncredited in 'Enos's Last Chance'. It was quite common for actors to return to Dukes as a different character (I counted over 60 occurrences), but this case was slightly unusual as the episodes were so close together. Another oddity in the casting of 'Enos's Last Chance' is that while it was about Scanlon, a master of disguise who could change identity, they used a different actor to play his salesman alter ego rather than just changing his makeup/wig.

    Duplicate Posts

Please do not post the same thing in multiple topics. Pick the topic best suited for your post and post it there. Duplicate posts just make the forums messy and harder to find things. I don't know about @HossC, but I hate cleaning.

    A-Z Game

The General was always portrayed as a '69 Charger (denoted by the grille and tail lights), but both '68 and '69 Chargers were used, and the junkyard owner in 'Happy Birthday, General Lee' mistakenly referred to the car that became the General as a "black '68 coupe".

Car reviewer Doug DeMuro's latest video is about a 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo SS Dale Earnhardt Edition which also comes with a few extra Dale Earnhardt goodies. With only 4,300 miles from new, it's currently for sale on his carsandbids.com site. Don't worry Garrett, a year later Chevy made a Jeff Gordon Edition. I found a load of pictures of that here, so you'll know what to look for.

  48. Wow! Good for him. Everybody has different tastes in different episodes but we all share the common bond of loving the Dukes so much and that's all that matters. Just the thought of Bo and Luke being dead caused me to be a little down on that episode. I guess I was just too emotionally attached to them at the time that ep aired. It was painful to see the pain of the folks who thought they were dead. I also didn't like eps where Bo and Luke fought each other (even if it was just words). Even though you know they'll be fine at the end it just isn't as fun as fighting with Boss, Rosco and the bad guys who are in town for one ep.

  50. Roger this made my entire week. Thank you . I have been lingering around here and there. I wish I was watching too many Cubs games but sadly don't have cable. Just been busy and tired and not sure I have much worthwhile stuff to post. LOL. Hopefully the Cubs continue to win...and hopefully Chase Elliott finds Victory Lane again. It's been too long. . . Thank you, Roger, for your post and the smile.
