I love the way you spell hazard as hazzard even when when it's got nothing to do with the show! That's a true fan .

  6. Roger... Wow very cool! And I was glad to write my review. Luckily it was still here. I didn't have to rewrite it. I just came back here and saved it. What happened was I had forgot to hit the Submit Reply button the first time.

  7. Great review Skipper!! Thanks for posting it. July 23, 2010 was my first Northeast Ohio Dukes show so we were there at the same time and it was the first show for both of us. Earlier that year (Jan 24) I met Sonny Shroyer for the first time at the Canton Ohio Auto Show. That's the first time I met Ray Kohn and found out about his stunt shows.

I see that Fernando Alonso is having another go at the Indy 500, along with a couple of other ex-F1 drivers. Fernando is returning to F1 for the 2021 season.

Chase Elliot won the inaugural Go Bowling 235 at Daytona's famous road course https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/08/16/chase-elliott-wins-daytona-road-course-race-denny-hamlin-martin-truex-jr/. He led 34 of 65 laps and at one point had over a 10 second lead over 2nd place Denny Hamlin before a late caution restacked the field. Martin Truex jr finished 3rd, Jimmie Johnson finished 4th and Chris Buescher finished 5th. Kaz Grala who was subbing for Austin Dillon after he tested positive for covid19 finished 7th. JJ Yeley had to retire early due to heat exhaustion so Bayley Currey finished the race in the #27. Kyle Busch finished 37th when mechanical issues caused him to wreck with 5 laps to go. This was his sixth 29th place or worse finish of the season which drops him to 10th place in points. Next weekend is a Dover double header Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Both will be on NBCSN. On a related note...Marco Andretti became the first Andretti to win the Indy 500 pole since grandfather Mario Andretti started on the pole for the 1987 Indy 500 https://motorsports.nbcsports.com/2020/08/16/indy-500-pole-position-marco-andretti-mario-indycar/. I wonder if the Andretti Indy curse will finally be vanquished next Sunday.

  11. Roger Duke... OMG... Was it 2010? If so, I was there. Truck Night 2010 was my first ever Dukes/Ray Kohn show/experience. I met a nice man who asked my mom "What size does he wear?" She told him. In a few minutes later, the man came back with a NEOD t-shirt in my size that he bought for me. It was a spectacular show. I was a little scared for Ray to make the jump in that horrific heavy down pour though. I was worried for his safety you know. The gentleman who later bought me the shirt, had also at the beginning got me front row seating for the whole show! He was such a nice great gentleman! It was an experience I will never forget. I felt like I was on the WB set watching a '79-85 actual original cast episode being made right before my very own eyes. It was awesome! I have been to Ray's Dukes show in recent years too on and off. I attended the Brookville PA show a few years back. Anyone who gets or has the chance to go see NEOD do it!!! You won't regret it! It's a very delightful experience! It provides all the ingredients of the formula of the original series and its cast and crew of joy, action, excitement and the family friendly atmosphere of Hazzard County. Roger Duke it felt like I was up on Eagle Point looking down at the action below in Hazzard!!!

Biggest shock of the season (sarcasm) Christopher Bell to drive the JGR #20 Toyota next season https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/08/10/christopher-bell-to-drive-for-joe-gibbs-racing-in-2021/ Spire Motorsports bought LFR team charter, shop and inventory https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/08/11/nascar-spire-motorsports-confirms-purchase-leavine-family-racing/. Plans to expand to 2 cars for 2021 season. Spire Motorsports currently runs the #77 Chevrolet and was able to grab a victory last year with Justin Haley in a rain shortened Daytona race. Even though covid-19 has paused a lot of sports Nascar tv ratings are still taking a hit. The races for the past few weeks have set new least watched records that Nascar hasn't seen in 2 decades or more. Though Nascar cup races are still beating NHL and NBA games in tv ratings however PGA golf is kicking everybody's butts in tv ratings. This weekend's Nascar races at Daytona Road course will air on FS1(truck series) Sunday 12pm, NBCSN(Xfinity) Saturday 3pm and NBC(Cup series) Sunday 3pm.

  14. I have a friend who is having trouble signing up. He'd be able to see this thread though even without being a member so could you explain the sign up process Hoss or MM....or direct him to the right thread. Thanks...you know how low tech I am. I'm not sure what the problem is. I think it's the part where you have to prove you're not a robot.

  16. I'm not sure I can get to that part without actually creating a new account. As for bypassing that step, I certainly don't have the ability to do that - I can only moderate new posts. Maybe this is a job for MM after all.
