I like how Deputy Barney Fife sorts mail in Mayberry North Carolina in The Andy Griffith Show.
He's sitting near the trash can.
He rattles off who it's for and if it's for "Occupant." He drops it in.
The Fred Sanford mail sorting in Watts Los Angeles in Sanford and Son is very comical too. "Put it back in the mailbox!"
I laughed so hard at this Sanford and Son scene.
Lamont Sanford:"Pop, look at all these bills! Now, what are we gonna do about them?"
Fred Sanford:"Well, I told you what to do with 'em. But, you wouldn't listen to me. I said-"
Lamont Sanford:"Yeah, yeah, yeah! I know, "put 'em back in the mailbox!"
Fred Sanford:"Well, then, why didn't you?"
Lamont Sanford:"Pop, will you be serious!?"
Fred Sanford:"I am bein' serious! You put 'em back in the mailbox, we never received 'em!"
In our world, the real world, as tempting as Fred and Barney's methods are, they're unfortunately not an option. Because not like them, we'll go to jail.
