Penske Enterprise which owns the track and Indycar series is giving her a new car
Interesting how far nascar has strayed from its roots. Chase Elliott has been parked for one race for spinning Denny Hamlin into the wall. Growing up watching nascar in the 1980's driver's rarely got penalized this severely for wrecking opponents. Usually the drivers worked it out amongst themselves or the France's would slap them with a huge fine. Corey Lajoie will be driving the #9 this weekend.
Just finished watching Coy vs Vance where Boss had Rosco and Enos switch jobs.
Rosco, "Enos, you dipstick!"
Enos, "I'm the sheriff now and you're the dipstick."
I saw this on the news yesterday, and of course it reminded me of Dukes, especially as it took place in Georgia. The car hit the tow truck ramp at full speed and flew 120 feet (36.5 m). The 21-year-old female driver from Tallahassee survived, but is in hospital. It shows how you must always pay attention when driving.
So this week keeps getting crazier
While at work yesterday I received a notification from my ring camera...

A careless idiot neighbor threw his cigarette butt in the dry grass. This is the 2nd video of the fire. After seeing this and noticing our next door neighbor wasn't out yet I did a 100m sprint to my wife's work building to get her phone and called the neighbor to alert her to get out. When she got to the door with her dog the maintenance guy for the neighboring property was able to put the fire out with a garden hose before it spread to any of the buildings.
Top Gun
(Hey Hobie, my county, Erie Pa was supposed to get that Saturn plant. There was a big area of land on the upper left hand corner of Pennsylvania that was going to be a nuclear power plant in the late 70s. It bordered Ohio and Lake Erie. That didn't work so then it looked like a steel mill was going in there. That didn't work so it looked like we were getting the new Saturn factory but didn't. Today it is state gamelands)
