Aww...springtime. it's getting greener around here. Still need another week or two before the leaves on the trees get full size. Rainy all day today. Precipitation amounts have been low lately so rain is good.

Here's the first look at the Next Gen Cup car We'll have to wait till May 5th for a better look.

Joey Logano took a scary ride Sunday at the end of Stage 1 when Denny Hamlin turned him launching Logano into the air nearly landing on Bubba Wallace's car. Thankfully Joey Logano was fine. Matt Dibenedetto came close to getting the Wood Brothers racing their 100th win but blocked the wrong line and Brad Keselowski went on to win. This win ties him with Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt jr on Talladega wins and is also his 35th career win. Matt Dibenedetto arguably had the fastest car as he was able to make power move passes without pushes from other drivers. Part timer Kaz Grala managed to finish 6th place for Kaulig Racing. Surprisingly there was no 'big one' that took out half the field as there usually is at Talladega with this pack racing package. Thanks Roger. I was excited last night when I logged in and saw that we got ten members in my league! Would like a few more, but if this is all that I will get for my league, I will be happy. Thanks for your help...without your help, there probably only be four or five in my league. Sixteen more days til the Daytona 500...a week from tomorrow is the Sprint Unlimited. Use to be the Bud Shootout. Though if you ask me, I think they should have stuck with the Bud Shootout. But then again, no one asked me. So next Saturday is the beginning of Speedweeks! I will be making a new thread for the upcoming 2013 NASCAR season soon...

What guilt trip and accusations, Roger? I was just laying down the facts. You can't argue the facts, can you? Ah well...was just giving you a hard time. I wouldn't get all upset about it. Jr is a good guy and a great driver. Can't go wrong by going with Jr...though you could do better to. Like going for JEFF GORDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, I gotta hand it to you Garrett. That was one very powerfully written guilt trip. The whole time I was reading it I was hanging my head in shame like a six year old who just got caught stealing cookies. I don't know if I'll ever recover from this deep seeded feeling of guilt that you have laid upon me. Count me in Garrett. It will be an honor getting beat by such a knowledgable NASCAR fan as you. (Of course beating you would be even more fun and that's exactly what I plan on doing) I'm wondering if you should start a new thread and title it 2013 Fantasy NASCAR. I think folks might avoid clicking on this thread since it's title is old. And....if you do it now the first post will be dated Dec 25! What a great Christmas present....the official start of your NASCAR league.
