You're welcome. Thx for the welcome. Yes, it's the same sign though in a different position. When I get time I'll have a delve through your forums as I've seen other locations used for DoH and Salem's Lot. Not a surprise as all Warner Bros.

I've been up all night doing astronomy two nights in a row now. I've pulled overnighters before but never two in a row. I love retirement!

  6. You both are right about Luke in the jump. I suspect the writers were just trying to re-establish family unity. It was odd that everybody supported the jump now but didn't support it before. Nothing has really changed because if you think about it, when they didn't support it before they didn't know about the cut fuel lines. Why would Luke riding along change their minds? That should have made it worse since now 2 Dukes could have been killed. Maybe they knew Dukes can't get killed on their show.

  7. The final jump in 'Hooper' had Burt Reynolds and Jan-Michael Vincent in the car, but that was because one of them had to read a boost gauge and activate the boost. As you say, there was no reason for Luke to ride along. BTW. Jimmie Best was in both scenes (Hooper and Dukes)!

Thanks for the extra info, Ian, and welcome to HNet. I see they used the same "City General Hospital" sign.

Stock footage of this hospital also used in Salem's Lot in 1979. Car park area was redeveloped around 1977 I believe.

I tell ya it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling when you're family circles the wagons around you . Wish I could give em all some hugs for the 'you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us' support. Got the tomato's, cucumbers and corn in the ground Saturday in the garden at my dad's only to see the squirrels dug up half the tomato's Sunday morning. Gonna put chicken wire around the pots today to keep them furry tailed rats out. Weather's been hot, 90's since Friday. Then this Friday the high is only going to be 72 with lows in the 40's. Just hope we don't get another frost. Have to replant carrots as the late frost we had already killed the seedlings.

  11. We usually agree Hobie but I wouldn't call Carnival of Thrills goofy. I also will honestly say I'm not all that crazy about it. I was flustered when it came out originally because they ended the first show with that fist fight and I had to wait a week to see the rest. I hated the fight. Even Waylon said "Duke hadn't fought Duke since the war between the States." I was never really crazy about any episode where the Dukes struggled with family unity....Dr Jeckel and Mr Duke was the worst.
