I was just curious if you've ever read fan fiction? I've written a few on fanfiction.net. One was an idea I had before I knew Sorrell Booke died, to be made into a reunion movie, called "The Hazzard Sparkplugs." It has Boss Hogg owning a baseball team - it's on hazzardnet.com, too, with my other stories, if you're curious. Also, do you think, with the news about concussions lately, that maybe your character suffered a lot in high school? I seem to recall the balladeer saying Rosco was the starting quarterback. Or, don't you think much about the backstory of your characters?

Sorry, Mr. Best, i just now noticed we shoud ask each question separately; hopefully the mods accepted the fanfiction one as just one and this can be a new post: Do you ever think about the backstory of your characters, like why Roco is like he is? With all the talk of concussions in sports, I'm wondering if you think he might have had a few too many hits as quaraterback; the balladeer did mention Rosco was a QB back in '44 or4 so, and it would explain Rosco's dumbness at times. Or, don't actors really consider gback story too much?

Aloha Mr. Best. I have been entertained by the Dukes for about 5 years now, as it really was not in syndication when I was younger. But what got me really into the show was the Reunion movie, the first one. I just have to know, you and the whole cast had me laughing so hard and I can quote word for word a lot of that movie. How hard was it for you and the cast to shoot, since Mr. Booke was already gone and Mr. Pyle died right after? Aloha again Mr. Best. I have one more question for you. In the show, Rosco says, in "The Ghost of General Lee" that he cannot swim. What about you? Hi James Best Im from toronto canada and last june i went to georgia to visit the dukes sites and we stopped in gatlinburg TN to go to cooters place to meet Rick Hurst. We heard that u were also at gatlinburg signing autographs at a comic book event but it was already to late to go meet you because it was over. Hi, I was wondering, if Warner's pulled their head out their *** and actually were to consider a new Dukes of Hazzard Series or Mini Series, which had none of the crap of the two recent movies (05 and 07 DVD) My question is, if the part was written for you to appear as Boss Rosco, would you participate? Mr. Best, I was wondering what your favorite role has been for you, other than the dukes. I did enjoy watching you on an episode of Bonanza though I teared up a bit when your character died. Hi Jimmie, This is Werner, from Belgium. This is not Dukes related, but: I was wondering what is favorite food? Mine is steak with fries; and chocolate for desert (not together of course :-D ). I was very lucky to briefly see you for an autograph at DukesFest 2006. It was very hot, I had some Belgian chocolate bars for all the cast, but I only managed to give one to Rick Hurst in person, he liked it. I had to leave the rest at the media/organiser's stand because it was melting under the blazing sun. I asked them to hand them to the cast members, but I seriously doubt they ever got that far, they were very busy with so many visitors. So, if you never got it, I'll try to …
