I was watching the local news tonight and got a big surprise. Before they go to the weather, my local station talks about human interest stories that are happening accross the country. When I heard them mention Conyers Georgia my ears perked up. For those of you who don't know, Conyers is one of the locations the Dukes was filmed at when the show was in its infancy during the first 5 episodes before moving to California. Anyways, a 14 month old toddler wandered into the Wells Fargo bank vault in Conyers and somehow the vault door closed. There were no adults inside and the door was on a time lock. Roger suggested that those of you who weren't able to attend the concerts in Niagara Falls by Tom and john might like to know a bit about them. I am not a review writer, but I'll try to give you an idea. First of all though I have to say I originally was only going to the Saturday Show. Then John's mom, wonderful lady that she is, heard I didn't have a ticket for Friday and lo and behold I find my self in the third row both nights, close enough to see Tom's beautiful eyes and john's gorgeous smile...but I digress... I'm surprised I havent seen mention of this- I doubt I am the only one who knows! At any rate if it is on another thread and I missed it sorry. The boys will be reuniting for a concert at the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Canada on January 21-22. I have my tickets for Saturday night-yay! Hope to see you there

Simon MacCorkindale, known better by Dukes fans as the conman that assumed the identity of cousin Gaylord Duke, as passed away. He was 58. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/10/16/arts/television/16maccorkindale.html It was nice of the NY Times to note Mr. MacCorkindale's appearance on the Dukes of Hazzard. Unforutnately they refer to the "Duke brothers" as opposed to the Duke cousins.

National Public Radio (NPR) is airing old interviews of country music stars this week. Tomorrow (Wed) at 3:00 Eastern Standard Time they will feature Waylon and Willie. I think they're airing the Willie interview first. It sure would be cool if the Waylon interview occured when Dukes was being filmed and he mentions our favorite show. If you miss it, it might be available on their website after Wednesday. I'm not sure though.

Tomorrow, an old interview of Waylon Jennings is going to be on NPR (National Public Radio). I think the show is going to lead with Willie Nelson though. It would be awesome if the interview took place while Dukes was being filmed. Maybe he mentioned it. If you miss it, I bet you can probably catch it on NPRs website. Just to clarify...the interview will aired September 1 at 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. NPR is doing a series of old interviews from country music stars this week.

just got the email from cooters place dukes will be back on tv starting sept. 10 there will be a dukes launch special marathon then sept 13 dukes will be on air mon-fri at 7pm I think this is great news now hopefully cmt will sponsor another Dukesfest yeeeeehaaaaa
