that could be somewhat right though as a headcanon. In the game theres different roles you can do, and His is trader, will the animal processing, but he is great friends with the Moonshiner lady (i think he likes her) so who's to say hes not in on the moonshining action -

I play Red Dead Online almost everyday, and there this NPC that takes care of your camp when you're gone named Cripps and you can buy different outfits for him and he reminded me of a sassier Uncle Jesse so I bought him overalls
