Put on One Armed Bandits and re-live the thrills of that first episode that launched the careers of some of its actors, gave us a bright orange stock car named the General Lee and gave kids something decent to watch on television!!! After Meeting Sheriff little we went to go meet Enos, I tell ya he's a tall son of a gun. He was so nice We gave him a picture of us with him from Dukesfest 2007 with a thank you note on it. I also gave him a picture of 2 patrol cars blocking the General Lee with a thank you note to Enos, he liked it very much. It was cool meeting him for the second time he still has the "Enos" laugh and smile, he autographed my copy of Smokey and the Bandit, The return of The General Lee, our Dukes guide book and our copy of season one. When we had our picture taken with him we asked him to arrest us and he did. It was awesome being arrested by Hazzard's finest Deputy ! it was great and …

I like checking out the youth art exhibits at the county fairs, because ya find out what's on the minds of kids these days. So when I came across this one, it was a reassuring sight. The kid wrote the chorus to "Good Ol' Boys" at the top of the drawing, and then had a little text ballon with "yeehaa" coming from the driver. Ain't that cute? Got a blue ribbon, too.

Jeopardy has 2 categories on the game show for Dukes of Hazzard and Boss Hogg....only 2 categories...but it's on NOW if anyone want sto watch! ...channel WUXPD

Well, it's all over with. My mother is fine. The meds they gave her made her feel no pain or remember anything. She was very out of it yesterday, but now she is back to her normal self. They had found a pollic (Sp?) and they got it out. She doesn't have to have another colonsmy (sp?) for 3 years so i guess that is good. She was supposed to call her doctor for the results today, but they were never there. I will keep yall informed. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Susan

I like how Deputy Barney Fife sorts mail in Mayberry North Carolina in The Andy Griffith Show. He's sitting near the trash can. He rattles off who it's for and if it's for "Occupant." He drops it in. The Fred Sanford mail sorting in Watts Los Angeles in Sanford and Son is very comical too. "Put it back in the mailbox!" I laughed so hard at this Sanford and Son scene. We've been recording Beverly Hillbillies lately and got lucky yesterday when they aired the very first episode. The writing was fantastic. It seems like the older the episode was the funnier it was and the first is hilarious. They start out with them driving into Beverly Hills for the first time and then they back up (the truck then literally backs up) to show the viewer how they ended up leaving their shack.

I've seen a few posts here n' there about this - so let's just air it out. For anyone who hasn't already applied, gitcher rear in gear! There hasn't been a deadline announced yet, far as we know. But the winner will be announced at DukesFest, which is June 4th & 5th, so the clock is winding down. WKBN news was here yesterday on Friday September 8, 2023 and his wife Beverly talked to them about renaming Inverness Ave. after him. The Inverness Ave. signs are still up, but the city has added a street sign that reads Gary Andrewski Ave. Andrewski is a family member of Gary's. It's in honor of that Gary and his family member too. It's also in honor of Gary's Polish heritage.

This morning I started reading James Best's book "Best in Hollywood". I found out that he was adopted and his birth name was Jewel Franklin Guy. I'm almost 50 and my whole life I'd never heard the first name Jewel before (for a man at least) This evening I went to a college basketball game and (you guessed it) there was a guy named Jewel on the opposing team. After the game I showed him the book and we had a good laugh over the cool coincidence of seeing that name twice in the same day. I was impressed because he knew Rosco's real name. Of course I explained the reason for the change was the adoption. The basketball player was from West Virginia and James was from Kentu…

Business Week magazine recently did a story titled "The South is Spreading" on page 88 of their 4/25-5/1 issue. Apparently American southern culture is the latest global craze. Music, fashion, entertainment and food from dixie are speading like wildfire around the globe. For example, the Bellamy Brothers were recently "treated like Elvis" in places like Sri Lanka and South Africa. They gave a few reasons for the phenomenon but the one I liked most is the fact that the world has gotten crazy and folks around the world are looking for a simpler, relaxing and fun way of living. wondering if anyone could write it into a story for me. Chad and i got off an elevator with this little kid, and we were going to a Halloween party. There were 2 doors that had signs on it, "Kids" and "Young Adults." The little kid stood at the door looking afriad to go in. Chad, who was standing behind holding my hand said, "Come on in here. It will be okay." Then took the little kid's hand and we walked in. I just wanted to take the time to say thank you to all of you out there who have served your country. My dad served in the Navy, My Uncle served in the Marines and was KIA in Vietnam and listed on the wall in DC and buried in Arlington, and my grandpa served in the Navy during WWII in the P2 boats. Our country would not be what it is today if not for those who served it. So thank you to each and everyone of you out there for all you've done when you served. God Bless you and thank you for serving your country and Happy Memorial Day!
