New to the site and I have a Rosco patrol car.

Congratulations to Uncle Jesse for winning the Dukes game after an 8 month battle. waiki has suggested starting another one and I second the motion. If one other person wants to play I think we should go for it. Instead of starting out 10 characters with 10 points each, what do you folks think of starting out with 10 characters but only giving them 5 points to start the game? Or we could stick with 10....

It just came to me that sometimes when talking to others in real life, I use sayings from Dukes of Hazzard, like "Keep it between the ditches". "I love it, I love it" is another of my favorites and I use is a lot. Any one else besides me do this?

Hey guys last june i went down to covington georgia with my family to revist the dukes of hazzard. it was amazing and the people are so nice down there. When we went down we had pictures of what the famous Dukes Of Hazzard sites looked like back in 1978 and we took pictures of them in the exact same spot of what it looks like now. Last night me and my uncle finished turing those pictures into a video and we posted it on youtube. Its a pretty cool video. I have been searching cyberspace far and wide for a Dukes of Hazzard TV show screen saver for my trusty, deserving, reliable Mac OS X , and all I find are horrible pictures of Sean William Scott, Johnny Knoxville and Jessica Simpson. Just wondering who everybody's favourite (I'm English - we spell it that way:)) guest stars/cameos were. I mentioned in another post that mine were Henry Gibson, Charles Napier and Robert Alda. They all looked like they enjoyed playing their parts. It was also good to see Mel Tillis who was in a few films around that time including Cannonball Run, SATB 2, and Every Which Way But Loose. There were also dozens of familiar faces, mainly crooks, who have me diving for IMDb to find out where I know them from (am I the only one who does this?). Usually it turns out they were in one or more of the following: A-Team; Knight Rider; CHiPs; Fall Guy etc.

Hello everyone. Long time fan of the show, first time poster. Ive read thru a lot of the previous posts and done a lot of searching on my own but I have to admit when I'm licked and need him from some experts on this. Ive been searching for a sound clip of Rosco's police siren. Sure there are lots of police sirens online but finding one that sounds like Rosco's (and defintely not that wailing moan of Cletus' patrol car had) seems like it doesn't exist. I will list 10 characters from the show and the number 10 beside them.What you do is name two characters that are in the list one that you want to give a point to and one that you want to take a point away from( example plus 1 bo duke, minus 1 rosco). Then when a characters score gets to 0 there eliminated. Last person standing wins. You can only vote once per day. I would like to recreate the intro/theme song for the Dukes of Hazzard. Does anyone know where those clips come from? I know that the long jump at the start comes from Season 2 Episode 7 at 33:35 Other than that I have no idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey All, I was just rewatching the pilot episode. It was just as great as I remember. I did notice something really funny though. I am not sure if the producers caught it, but as Rosco is chasing Beau and Luke around the town square and you have to pause the dvd at 44:10, you will see a second General Lee parked in front of one of the stores. I am not sure if they just didn't have enough cars to fill the square and hope people wouldn't notice... LOL JDjr.

We all remember from the first Dukes reunion movie Rosco became Boss, Would anyone out there like to see Hughie as Boss ? If They make another reunion movie, I would even though I'd love to pound the hay out of him for what he did to the Duke's in the past it seems fit the Hughie should become Hazzard's new Boss. What are y'alls thoughts about this ?

What is it about a show from the 1980's that appeals to today's generation ? granted I'm a second generation fan, I find Dukes funny entertaining and better than anything out there on t.v. today.how do Y'all feel about the Dukes, what's the show mean to you ?

Why haven't they released it on DVD? I know there's not as big of a demand for it as other older cartoons like the Smurf's but still?

Hello everybody, this is my first post on this forum after just reading it for months now. I'am not sure if this is the correct place to post this question so i apologise if im wrong, i couldnt find anywhere for specific DVD related discussion. I'am considering buying the series 7 DVD box set as i already own the rest but i was wondering if you could give me some help with the episode listings. The dvd contains the first 17 episodes of the season but ends on The Haunting of J.D. Hogg. I don't know if this has been done before or not, but I was reading on some of the threads how we love our DVD collections but never get a chance to watch them..I was thinking how for me, having a reason to watch, other than my own happines, sometimes makes me feel not quite so guilty for indulging in all things Duke... All that said, I wondered what were the thoughts on having a Dukes DVD Club (similar to a book club) where every week we watch the same episode and set aside a meeting time to talk about it.... is that a good idea? Didn't those two old timers have a history of going a long way back of knowing each other? All's I remember that Jesse somehow got even with the Boss when Hogg was about to win money over a race or something and Jesse just announced on the loud speaker that Boss was going to donate the money to charity or something. To protect his good name, Boss reluctantly gave in, but they celebrated with hot dogs and other snacks. Which episode was this?

Did I miss something here? An alien? Must've lost interest the Dukes back then. I looked on wikipedia and was wondering if these different story plots are the reason why the show came to an end. Discuss anything in the final season here.
