Sonny Shroyer / Enos Strate

According to this site, yesterday was Sonny Shroyer's birthday! Happy Birthday! (one day late) According to this site, he was born in 1935. Is that right? That'd make him 70 now! Boy, he looks good for 70.

I made a music video with Enos and Daisy (more Enos than Daisy), using clips from various episodes. The song is "Everything you want" (Vertical Horizon). I love it. Maybe a country music would be better for an Hazzard music video, but I don't know very much country music (really, I don't know country music at all ), anyway I hope you'll enjoy it. January 23rd and 24th at the 11th annual Canton Hot-Rod & Bike Show., Yes he's gonna be there both Sat and Sunday whereas before they've only had a Dukes castmember for Saturday only. Hours for Sat 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday 12 p.m.-5 p.m. Can't tell you who's General Lee they are using possibly mine but I haven't been contacted.

With all the releases of the Duke Seasons on DVD, does anyone know of any possible releases of the Enos show? That was a very underated TV show and if CBS had put the show on the right night, namely before or after Dukes of Hazzard on Friday nights it would have lasted a few more seasons. Sonny Shroyer is the man? A lot better character than Gomer Pyle which critics wanted to compare it to. A very funny show with good chemestry between the Enos and Turk characters, and plenty of action... Some of the best car chase and fight scenes on TV of that era were on Enos just as well as Dukes. If anyone knows how I can get "Enos" on DVD or tape, please let me know???

Does anyone here know what kind of car Enos had in his spinoff show in California? I remember bits and pieces of the show, but I can't remember exactly what car it was. Thanks!

Has anyone else realized that Enos is the only regular Hazzard county lawman who isn't related to Boss Hogg in some fashion? Rosco is his brother-in-law and Cletus is his cousin. Even one of the Rosco clones (Hughie) was Boss's nephew. We suspect that Enos got his job before Rosco went corrupt or else they wouldn't have hired him, and after Rosco got greedy, they couldn't fire him since he was too well liked. Hence why he was promoted in that one episode and wore that really ugly brown suit.

Just got word that Sonny Shroyer, "Deputy Enos Strate" will be a special guest in the annual Covington Christmas parade this Saturday, Dec 3rd. He'll be joined by a General Lee replica and a Hazzard County patrol car replica. The parade steps off at 10:30 a.m. on Newton Drive, goes down Anderson Street to the town square, then down to Monticello street, then....aw heck, get to Covington, Georgia, and the rest is easy. Sonny will be appearing in his deputy duds for the parade. Afterwards, he'll be at the Covington-Newton County Visitor's Center from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., to sign autographs, take pictures, and charm all the ladies.

We just watched this episode in its entirety and can you say "YEEEE HAAAWWW!" Okay okay, it IS a Coy and Vance ep., which is probably why they did one that focused more on Enos in the first place. But oh is it one for Enos fans! First of all, dig Sonny Shroyer in civies! The brown shirt looks a lot like the one John wore in one of the early episodes. You don't get to see Enos show off his muscles too much. Too hot! Speaking of muscles, how about Enos punching out the bad guy at the bus depot? After listening to Dukes creator Gy Waldron (season 3...disc 4.....side A) I am convinced that Sonny Shroyer was destined to play Enos. Gy and Sonny went to college together at the University of Georgia so when he was creating the Dukes he had Sonny in mind as the person who was best qualified to play Enos. Mr Waldron called the producer and told him about Sonny but the producer completely forgot. Some time later the producer was talking to Gy and said that he had found a great actor at a casting call who fit the part of Enos perfectly and his name was Sonny Shroyer!!! No doubt about it. Sonny was destined to play Enos. And to the delight of millions of people worldwide…

I have some questions about Enos. In the show, I don't remeber Enos talking about his family (but I've never seen 7th series). But in Reunion, when he meets Daisy, he says something like "I haven't yet visited my family" (or something like that, at least in italian version). Do you know anything about that? The last question: where does Enos live in Hazzard? He's always in his patrol car, or at Duke farm, or in "office". Poor boy

Oh my goodness we loved this episode! We must've missed it the first time around on TNN, because it seemed unfamiliar. But wow! What an episode for Enos fans! Highlights: 1) Enos getting fired...again...and Uncle Jesse saying how Enos's job is "his whole life." 2) The dramatic scene between Enos and Daisy after he got fired. Shows how far their relationship has come and how they really care about each other...sniff. "You deserve someone better who's not always dropping his shoes in the buttermilk." 3) Enos gets to rescue Daisy...twice. Once from a car bomb and at the end. 4) First appearance (that we know of) of Enos's personal car, an ugly brown station wagon. Why …

Well I just got of the phone with Mr. Samuel E. Wright! You guys know him as Sonny's partner Officer Turk Adams on Enos, but everyone with kids will know him as the voice of Sebastian from Lil Mermaid! (Just to name a few) - but sometimes best friends grow apart over the years - and last week Sonny asked me if I could track him down so they could catch up! Long story short I did - and now the story telling is flying! LOVE IT!

Sonny is going to be appearing in a new movie (currently being filmed in Georgia with Dean Cain). The name escapes me, but watch for it!

i was surfing around Google and i was looking on topics of Sonny Shroyer and i found something on Wikipedia about him, it said he played in a movie called Fast last year, i did know that! i never seen it advertised or if its a TV series either it was a huge surprise

Does anyone know what Sonny's eye color is?????? I'd like to know for a fanfic. I've heard that they are green but they look blue on the show. does anyone know the right answer????
