  2. Shucks. Can't think of it. It was a bit surprising they had Janie Fricke on the show and didn't have her sing. Of course she wasn't playing herself so I shouldn't be surprised. I love Waylon's quote about the honeymoon.
  3. Just got done recording a bunch of Duck Dynasty episodes and got the one with him on the show. I've seen it before but love to watch all these episodes again.

I used to watch it with my daughter on Saturday morning when she was in kindergarten.

Oh yeah Dale Jr said multiple times in his podcasts over the years that to run a competitive cup team requires $20+million a year. I could see Hendrick and Gibbs probably spending close to $150 million a year for each of their 4 teams. Haas was sponsoring one or two of the SHR cars almost every race so he was dumping more money than other teams. Floyd Mayweather has backed out of co ownership deal of whatever team it was he joined that ran a partial schedule last year. I could see Michael Jordan jumping ship from 23XI within a year or two if he sees it's not at least breaking even. Currently he's sponsoring either car a few races.

  7. That surprises me about Jr feeling that way. I'd understand if Monday wasn't a holiday calling it after so many laps, but Monday was a holiday. All those people spent a lot of money to see the whole race. Heck the teams spent a lot of money to race the whole race. I'd think NASCAR would want to make it all count. I feel like this is some way to get at Larson for attempting to race the double. IDK. I get it is a business, but it's also about the racing. The teams. The drivers. The fans. NASCAR won't go very far without the fans. Talking about business and money, I had a friend send me this link that is really breaks it down how much it cost to put a car on the track. Stewart-Haas Racing getting out should be a red-flag warning to NASCAR - Augusta Free Press All that seems crazy to me. They didn't mention Hendrick, but I'd love to see how much he puts out for his equipment and all his cars. Hendrick has the best of the best in their cars and teams. I'd also like to know if they get as much money with these younger drivers than with Gordon and Johnson and Jr himself.

I listened to the Dale Jr Dirty Air podcast this week, I see he's turned into a NASCAR corporate man now. Don't think I'll listen to that podcast anymore. Basically said he's sorry for the fans that stuck it out for the rain delay but that's the way it is and always was with them not restarting the race. Also said Kyle Larson shouldn't get a waiver. One thing I did agree with that he said they should just go back to 25th or better in points instead of being at every race in case something like this happens again or someone is having a family emergency they have to tend to.

Clint Bowyer is getting back behind the wheel for the Nashville truck race. Will be in the #7 Spire Motorsports Chevy Silverado. https://www.jayski.com/2024/05/29/clint-bowyer-to-pilot-spire-motorsports-truck-at-nashville-superspeedway/ Front Row Motorsports did buy one of the SHR charters and will expand to a 3 car team https://www.jayski.com/2024/05/29/front-row-motorsports-obtains-third-charter/ I expect at least one of SHR's drivers to go there since I think 2 are contracted to Ford and Ford would want to keep them in a Ford. Josh Berry unfortunately isn't and I think chances of him finding a cup ride next year are very slim.
  10. Dukes Trivia: What are the names of the Gold Dust bank robbers who originally owned the 1969 Dodge Charger that would become the General Lee?

    Camp Candy

Any of y'all heard of and seen this cartoon TV series starring the voice of John Candy? In the series, he runs a summer camp for kids. I watched episodes of this sent to me by a Facebook friend. I enjoyed it.
  12. *Disappointing Experience with Bluenox - Bait and Switch* I ordered the Alan Hale Jr. Mouse Braid Gilligan's Island Skipper's hat from Bluenox on eBay on October 3, 2020, but what I received was not what was advertised. Instead of the Mouse Braid, the hat came with a Gorget Braid, which is a completely different style. The Gorget Braid is simply a cap cord with double ropes over each other and a single knot on each end, whereas the Mouse Braid is a twisted, knotted, and intertwined braid. I was really looking forward to receiving the correct hat, but Bluenox's bait and switch has left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. Buyers beware! Make sure to double-check your orders before making a purchase from Bluenox. I rate my experience 3/5 stars.
  13. (Season 5 Coy Meets Girl) Rosco crashed into into a crater caused by a morter shell. Boss and Rosco have gotten out of the patrol car, and are hiding in a another crater made by another morter shell earlier. Uncle Jesse shows up, stops his truck, and honks the horn to get their attention. Rosco:"Boss there's Jesse." Boss:"Oh Jesse!" Uncle Jesse:"You boys better git in here, before yer blown into the next 4TH of July!"
  14. (Season 5 Coy Meets Girl) Rosco:"I knew those Duke Boys were tough, but I didn't think they would go this far!"
  15. The Dukes were eating WATERMELON on their front porch, with Cooter! ( remember? )

If Front Row Motorsports is getting a charter that would explain why they let Michael McDowell go since 2 of SHR driver's are contracted to Ford and they will most likely go to FRM, one in the 34 and the other in the new charter team. Apparently the last charter available from SHR is going for $20-30 million depending on who you listen to on Twitter.
  19. (Season 2 Find Loretta Lynn) Bo and Luke try to stop Loretta Lynn's RV with their bodies as it crashes thru the hideout barn doors to make its getaway with half the kidnapping trio Bubba inside. Next comes the blue car with Cindy. Waylon Jennings:"I don't believe I would try to stop that with my body. You know, they don't learn too quick, do they?"
  20. (Season 4 Trouble at Cooter's) Cooter Davenport:"Hey!" Bonnie Lane:"Hey!" Cooter Davenport:"What do you got here?" Bonnie Lane:"Well, I brought us a picnic lunch. Are you interested?" Cooter Davenport:"Well, now, Miss Bonnie, I'm interested. But I gotta work!" Bonnie Lane:"I don't know about that Cooter. I got some Fried Chicken, I got some Potato Salad, I got some Corn Bread. Guess what I got fer dessert?" Cooter Davenport:"What?" Bonnie Lane:"BlackBerry Cobbler." Cooter Davenport:"You know somethin' Miss Bonnie?" Bonnie Lane:"What?" Cooter Davenport:"You sure got a way with words. Come on here!" Waylon Jennings:"Ain't amazing how a pretty girl with Fried Chicken could make a man forget about a carburetor float valve? Don't you just hate men that use women to mess up other men? Well, that carburetor float valve is somethin' that ol' Bo an' Luke could sure use on the General right about now."
