Have you visited any of the filming locations?

I'm not sure if the house pictured is the same house that Sorrell owned in Sherman Oaks. Google maps has it blurred out and it looks like its a gated property. The listing says 5 bed, 5.5 bathroom, 3800 square feet, and is worth 3.8 million today.

As a Die-Hard Dukes fan who lives in Los Angeles, I never would have thought of looking for Sorrell's home! I simply read that he lived in Sherman Oaks. I definitely think that a successful TV actor in the early 1980's could afford to buy a very desirable house here in Los Angeles for a six-figure sum. Today that same house would have a multi-million-dollar price tag on it today. One of the challenges for homebuyers in the early 1980's was that interest rates were at all time historic highs (18-21%), but a successful actor could afford to buy a house outright without a mortgage, giving them an advantage over other homebuyers. Surely, Boss Hogg wouldn't take on a mortgage with such a high interest rate. LOL

His house in Sherman Oaks was on almost half an acre and had a pool.
-
My guess is that after season 7 Hughie finally came up with a plan that actually worked and swindled all his uncle's money.

I figured his house would have more of a " Wow" factor to it. He was surely worth a lot....unless he was like a lot od stars and was creless.

Oops. That's because I screenshot the wrong house... the one across the street. This is the correct house. It looks like one of them, either the Google Maps or the LA county fire site has it flipped.

He passed away in Sherman Oaks, so he may have moved or had more than one house. His Sherman Oaks home was sold in August of 1994, 6 months after he passed. The Sherman Oaks home looked to be on a much bigger lot and had a pool. https://www.redfin.com/CA/Sherman-Oaks/14341-Millbrook-Dr-91423/home/4863818

The MoonShine 400 !!
RogerDuke replied to Hobie Hartkins's topic in Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion
My plan is to put that pretty little philly Emma Tisdale in a sidecar so when I win the 2027 Moonshine 400 on her dirt bike we'll be doing it together. -
One of the secrets to happiness is to tune out the bad things and focus on the good. I have met several of the stars but John is not one of them. You are lucky and should be thankful. Those great memories will last a lifetime. Thanks for sharing them with us.

To quote Larry the Cable Guy "I don't care who you are, that's funny right there."

Thanks for telling us. Sounds like a little progress is being made.

I agree 100% Tom.

Just once I would like to hear someone tell Judge Judy that when she asks them if they have a criminal record.

That is pretty sad. I'm the type who gets attached to things and this brings back memories of how sad I felt when the original Dukes farmhouse in Georgia got tore down. It was nice of the owners grandson to join HazzardNet and keep us updated. These pictures are a little odd though. I wonder why the new driveway veers off to the right like that.

I read John Schieders recent book, Livining "My Life My Way" John talked about how Sorrell would sometimes host the cast at his home in Sherman Oaks. John also mentioned in the book that Sorrell would show up to work at WB, and he drove an old Volvo. I guess Sorrell had more than one house.

I guess the Scots will need tae get behind Norway as they cannae get behind England. I'm about as much English as I am Norwegian, but I am about half Scottish, so... 🤷♀️

I was doing some research on Sorrell Booke and fell down a rabbit hole when I discovered he used to live in Pacific Palisades. My thoughts immediately went to wondering if his house was still standing after the wildfires in 2025. Sadly, the answer is no. I was thinking of posting this on the HazzardNet Facebook page, but it's kind of sad so I'm not sure. Thoughts?

Been in trouble with the law since the day you was born. 😂

I like the mission layout. Seasons and episodes format.

The original first season is a definite standout favourite to me, it made Hazzard feel more depth in a sense, mind you ain’t nothing wrong with the rest of the series. But backlot shoots don’t compare to Covington in my books.

Currently excited the boys are now on prime in excellent watchable quality, and hoping they release the show in higher quality for consumers via Blu Ray. If other series can be remastered, no doubt Dukes can be just as easily done. As for what I’m doing, well it’s been a hot minute since I was logged in. Forget when, life got busy lol. But I’m still just a good ol boy, never meanin no harm.

Howdy y’all, just wanted to give a heads up in case nobody knows, not sure. Dukes are now available on Amazon Prime to stream, in excellent quality even though its the same as the hd tv airings I think. But definitely watchable! Given that I hope Warner will release the series again on blu ray in much higher quality than the old dvd prints.

It was really good! Definitely difficult near the end but the whole game is awesome. I really like how it actually feels like a modern arcade game

How'd you like it?
