The 2004 movie is actually what got me into it! I saw it on a DVD at my sister's and asked to borrow it. She gave it to me because she didn't even know where it came from. Then I used to go over on the weekends and watch episodes of the TV show on a website called Fancast that eventually got purchased by Hulu. Thankfully it's on Tubi as I only own the first season. Like All in the Family it was definitely ahead of its time in dealing with social issues but I'd say even more so. Even in dealing with these things some episodes are very uplifting and happy while others can literally be gruelling to watch. Such a fantastic show. I understand why Cooter liked the car so much lol

I found a description of the incident, but it didn't add a lot to your write-up. Johnny was invited to a fake cocktail party at the Mayfair Hotel after watching the tennis at Wimbledon. It took place in 1985.

Jesse looks ahead and notices there is an intense battle going on for second place. He looks behind to see Hoss is serious about taking the fourth place position. He's coming on fast in that Formula 1 car.....or Indy car or whatever it's called. It doesn't look like Hoss can catch him but he is gaining quickly. Jesse's mind turns to something else....something that will happen after the race that will have all of Hazzard County talking. He smiles.

Here's a challenge for you Hoss since you are so good at finding things....and I'm sure you will love it. Johnny Carson used to make fun of British accents so somebody pulled a practical joke on him with hidden cameras. They planted a lady at a social event with a thick accent and she started a conversation with him. But her accent was so thick that it was not even something that anybody could understand....just gibberish disguised as a thick accent. It was so funny to see him embarrassed for not understanding it since he was often the one pulling practical jokes. I'd love to see it again if you can find it.

Well, I aced that quiz. I probably have tv to thank for that.

Here's something a bit different. How well do y'all know British words and phrases?

I aimed for early retirement as far back as 15......everything I did was for that one goal! I was mostly retired in 2012 ( 47) but I was really there but I don't like to cut it too close. Then in 2021 ( 56), I was TOTALLY retired and now concentrate on my #1 hobby........Doing anything I want! LOL!

Right at the last straightaway on the track and heading for home, Hobie slams his foot down on the gas and prays his engine doesn't explode and that he has enough shine to last and to get his engine to the Finish line and to get him to the Boar's Nest! Hobie crosses the line first and waves at the crowd! When he got out of the Moonshine Mauler, he went straight in to the Boar's Nest for a cold one and that's where he finally found Daisy and Meadow....sitting at a table and waiting on HIM! This is when he felt like the race had REALLY been won! ( Although winning the 2nd Annual Moon Shine 400, was nice too! ) IT WAS A GREAT RACE BUT THE TOWN DRUNK WON IT!! BETTER LUCK NEXT YEAR GUYS!! LOL!
